Well kept campground. Cleanest campground bathrooms I have ever seen. Friendly staff. Our site was directly beside a tiny cabin and could have been a little bigger but that’s what you get often times with RV sites. Unfortunately, witnessed one of the staff members abusing their dog.
This campground has it all! It is ran so well, with lots of extra amenities and services. The sites and bathrooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and professional. Our one and only con is the majority of the sites are very close together. It seemed like they squeezed more sites in wherever they could. It is in a great location and we would definitely return!
This is a small campground situated next to a golf course. There are several nice sites but others are not ideal. Our site (13) was ok, other than the scattered broken glass and trash. The main issue was lack of oversight from staff. The site next to us was completely packed with their fifth wheel, a large tent, pop up canopy, four vehicles, a kayak trailer, and a boat that was in the corner of our site. They did not leash their dogs and did not pick up after them. We didn’t complain about them encroaching on our site but felt that the campground should enforce their own rules. Another site nearby setup a construction light at night that lit up the entire campground like a stadium and stayed on late into the night. Basically, campers are left to do as they please regardless of whether it is inconsiderate of other campers. The positive is the location is only a few minutes from the boat ramp for the most popular kayaking spot.
We stayed in one of the small cabins and loved it! Very clean, with thoughtful amenities. Hot tub on the back porch. This cabin also comes with two horse stalls. Bridle trail access right from campground.
We booked a weekend trip here on a whim to visit some nearby attractions. After looking at the campground map, we chose a lakefront site in the Eagles Point area and were not disappointed! Beautiful views! Can bring your boat or kayak and drop in right from your site. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Staff were friendly and a ranger patrolled multiple times a day/night. We will definitely go back!
This place is huge with a variety of sites. Try to score one of the lakefront ones if you can! They have beautiful views. Our site was fine for a night as we drove through. We booked last minute and didn’t have many sites to choose from as this place is popular! Bathroom and showers were clean. Staff friendly.
We would definitely stay again!

We stayed on an inner loop and was happy with our site but after scouting other sites, we would definitely go for an outer loop lakeside site next time. Gravel pads. Bathroom and showers were good. Quiet, peaceful campground with friendly staff. Enjoy all the lake activities!
We found this campground charming. The coin showers were fun/funny. We stayed in our tent beneath the pines. Very quiet and peaceful during our stay. Would definitely stay again!
The cliffside sites are absolutely beautiful. We stayed in 107 and the view is breathtaking! Bathrooms and shower house were good! Staff was very friendly. I wouldn’t suggest booking a cliffside site if you have small children. We also liked that the campground is gated. We will be going back!
We have camped here a couple times and had a great experience. It’s primitive and the portapotties are as expected. The sites along the river are beautiful!
We go to Hocking Hills often, and if we are staying for the weekend to camp, this is the main place we go. The lakefront sites are best. Bathroom and showers are immaculate. Great atmosphere! We have been during all seasons.
We tent camped at one of the primitive riverfront sites. Site 810 in the Narrows. Our site was a little muddy and a little smaller than other sites but overall we were very happy with the campground and would camp there again!
We tent camped at one of the lakefront sites (025). The site itself wasn’t bad. All of the lakefront sites in that loop looked to be nice. We arrived Friday evening and the office was closed. No big deal, our tag was already on our site post and we had no problem driving up the road to buy firewood from a local business. The pit toilets were as expected (massive spiders everywhere). The shower house wasn’t filthy but had an awful smell. The office remained closed the entirety of our stay, and we never saw a staff member.
Our main issue was lack of oversight/patrolling after quiet hours, or just anyone to regulate obnoxious, inconsiderate campers.
The people next to us blasted music from 7pm to midnight, until I walked over and politely asked that they turn the music down because we were trying to get to sleep. They turned the music down but continued to be loud and obnoxious (not exaggerating) until after 5am in the morning. We got a few hours of sleep at best and were exhausted for our activities that day. When we returned to our site, we decided to pack up camp a day early and drive the 3 hours home because we didn’t want to deal with another night of them.
