Does not allow roof top tents!

Went to check in and they wouldn’t let us stay. Apparently they do not allow RTTs in this camp ground. This was our first time with KOA. They have them everywhere so thought it would be worth a try. Guess those aren’t our type of campground.

Great campground!

Fantastic views of the canyon walls as the sun comes up and shines light on them. Lots of trees to provide shade, but still lets the light in. The bathrooms are clean and have a large dishwashing sink on the outside of them. It is a short walk to the visitors center and to the foot bridge that crosses the river into the village.

Wilderness next to town

Great wild camping spot close to town. Beautiful views of Nichols Passage. You can often hear the blows of whales as you sleep at night. There is a fire ring and a pit toilet.

Beautiful!

Great little campground. Amazing views of the lake and mountains. Looks like they were finishing adding new bathrooms and showers. There is a loop trail that you can join from the south end of the campground that go’s along the the shore toward White Bay and around the hill. Watch for bison!

Nice desert lake views

The North and Western beaches are a semi dispersed campground. There are no actual sites, but there are outhouses every couple hundred yards. The outhouses are lighted by little solar powered led lamps. The north side is amongst some pretty cool little sand dunes. We had the place to ourselves in late October.
