This is not an rv camping park. This is an area directly on White lake of existing, owner owned rv's, 5th wheels, and travel trailers that you can rent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to vacation in. In some instances you can buy an existing rv/trailer and make it your "second home" or vacation home or rent it out. This park comes with access to the famous Goldston's Beach which has an arcade and lots of activities during the summer season.
This is a spacious group camping area; You can rent some cabins and/or rent RV spots so if you have a mixed camping family, so came come in their rvs/trailers and others can rent a cabin and y'all will still be next to each other. The park is on the smaller size but has a few hiking trails that are very nice. It also has a trail that goes around Singletary lake! The lake is awesome, great kayaking and fishing! The area is just away from White lake and Elizabethtown to be secluded and private but close enough to get what you need from the Walmart or Food Lion in town! There are also a decent number of "hometown" restaurants in town if you want to go out to eat! Georgio's is awesome!
Great park lots to do- hiking, swimming, boating, kayaking, etc Nice paved site a bit on the small side- I have a 36’ 5th wheel and am pushing the max site, older park so smaller site but pretty!
Paved sites in a wooded area right on Trillium Lake! Even can walk the 2 mile path around the lake!
Very nice campground that has central water and pit toilets. It is also located to many trails both biking and hiking.
The campground now has 27 sites (as of 2021). Most are first-come, first-serve and a few are reservable on recrecation.gov. The fee for all National parks has gone up in 2021 and this campsite is now $17/night, $8/night with the Senior Pass, and $8/night for an extra vehicle. All Food MUST be stored in a hard-sided camper or the provided Bear Boxes, there are both Grizzly and Black Bears in the area! It is close to numerous trailheads for hiking, biking, etc. Wonderful area and campground!
I stayed here for 3 weeks at the end of May beginning of June 2020. The staff is super friendly, they will go out of their way to help you or give you information about the area. There is a beautiful creek running through the property that allows you to fish or fall asleep to the sound of the water! Restroom & showers a very clean, as well. You are just a short drive from Lead for Grocery Shopping and mining activities and a short distance to Deadwood with their replay of the Gunfight with Wild Bill Hitcock as well as the capture and trial of Jack McCall the man who shot Wild Bill in the back as he played poker (the deadman's hand). You will not regret camping here, very beautiful area with lots to do!
This campground is well worth the visit! Nicely wooded campsites that are very large and private! The park has numerous hiking trails, a marina and a beach nearby! Carolina Beach area has many things to offer; they have a boardwalk that in the summertime has bands playing free of charge, amazing restaurants, fun carnival type activities for the kids, and fireworks every Friday! Weather you want to relax in seclusion in the forest atmosphere of the park or go to the beach and party the night away, Carolina Beach has it all! From the state park the beach is only a 5 min drive, less than 7 miles! You could almost walk there if you didn't have all that beach gear! But you could certainly ride your bike!
