The Rangers who run the campsite are excellent, full of helpful information and very friendly. This is a large campground with close together sites as you might expect. Many of the sites are not level so that can be a challenge for RVs and travel trailers. We didn't spend a lot of time at the campground due to stage 2 fire restrictions which meant no campfires. So we had our meals at Lake Lodge which is a treat in itself. Yellowstone is a magical place and the location of this campground is one of its best features. Oh - and flush toilets at the campground are a super plus also! Be sure to take the Scenicruise tour from the marina. We love Yellowstone and visit often. We will return to bridge bay.

This review is of the red lodge arm campground area. There are a few others at different parts of the park. The draw for this campground is the lake/reservoir. The sites are a decent size but offer very little in terms of vegetation or privacy. If you like to get to know your neighbors this may be the place for you. Other campgrounds in the park such as Cottonwood offer more serene locations. This campground does have a boat ramp, a play structure for the kids and a fish cleaning station.

Limber pine is one of those campgrounds where you feel like you have the forest to yourself. The tent only sites on the interior of the loop are really great, secluded and wooded. The perfect spot for star gazing.

We visited in mid September for a great weekend. The sites are large and nicely laid out. It's a short 1/4 mile hike to a beautiful mountain lake with great fishing and plenty of boulders for kids to climb. Get your growler filled at Red Lodge Ales on the way down to the campground and bring your truck or ATV to take a trip up to the Hellroaring plateau. This is an amazing corner of the world. Love it!
