Good experience

Took the advice from others and got a spot that was more secluded. Campsite 19. Quiet and nice space. I was even joined by a curious bobcat.

Good location

Good location if you want/need someplace outside of the crowded Yosemite campgrounds, especially midweek. Many spots open when I went last August, whether you wanted something near the creek or among the trees. Easy access to Yosemite and Mono Lake.

Poor experience

Found one last spot that seemed like a great site. Ended up being next to a group that cramped 20+ people on one site, drinking and yelling until two with a huge lantern that lit up everything around it. It was like I was camping in the middle of the day at a frat house. No sign of any ranger to enforce the so called "quiet hours" of 11PM. Packed up at 5AM and went to Yosemite Creek instead.

A bumpy ride, but worth it

Good camping sites, scenic, and a long bumpy road that keeps away RVs. Great spot.

Scenic

Well spaced campsites shielded by tall trees overhead. Great location.

Primitive and Peaceful

Made my way up to Kintla Lake for the first time in June and loved it! The campground is small and at the end of a beautiful (and bumpy) dirt road close to Canada. It sits right at Kintla Lake. I ended up snagging a campsite right by the lake, making for a great morning view. Best of all, it is quiet and there were no huge RVs! Great spot to kayak, as well.

Good experience

I have stayed here twice. Great variety of camping sites and I have never had an issue with noise, unlike some campgrounds in the past. Good location to get to all areas of the park.
