Teardrop gathering 2017

Southwest teardrop group holds their annual gathering in march.

The park is always clean. The staff are the best of any parks in the area. The little lake in the park is spring feed and clean. It is the best for kayaking or catching some fish. In the warmer weather weather the park is a great place for a nice cool swim. The sandy swim beach is always clean and you can swim out and enjoy a diving or resting platform.

In march the dogwoods were starting to bloom and still a few small trout for catching if you got lucky.

Tyler state park has become one of my favorite parks. I enjoy bicycling, fishing and am going to do some kayaking in the near future.

I would recommend anyone, tent or rv or tiny trail or and teardrops at its best.

Winter camping...i

I met up with a couple of teardrop friends for a quite weekend. It was a little rainy and cool enough to have a campfire. The park was having an event of Christmas lights. There were several campers who participated. The staff at the park are great. Having trouble posting pictures.

Teardrop campers gather. This park is perfect for large group.

The park was clean, the staff and hosts go above and beyond to make our meetings memorable. It's a great place to kayak and just enjoy a peaceful setting.

Fishing

They also have a nice lighted fusing dock. I only fished for about an hour and caught enough to share.

Teardrop gathering

The park is beautiful. It has large Rv sites with water and electricity. Many of the sites are waterfront. The staff were the best. Rangers put on a Dutch oven demonstration on for us. They also took us on an interpretive hike. The park is well maintained and very clean. They are also sponsoring a holloween event the last week in October. I am ready to go back, work awaits however.

Teardrop gathering

I have been to Tyler State Park many times my last adventure there included a group of teardrop and vintage trailers. We kind of took over the whole park. Great little lake for kayaking and canoeing. Several docs for fishing which I didn't have much luck at the last trip. It's a nice Pinetree lined little parked in East Texas near Tyler.

Teardrop gathering

I went with a group of teardrop friends. This has become our annual gathering place. Tall pine trees and a small lake. The lake is perfect for kayaking and fishing from one of several docks. Tranquil, peaceful, clean and easy access from I-20 N. Of Tyler.

History

It was a beautiful campground. All the staff were more than helpful. I stayed in a small tag-a-long trailer. The trails were well marked. I enjoyed some of the inexpensive activities offered by the park. The cave and its history was amazing. I will go again.
