Stayed at the group site. Drinking water, pavilion with electricity & lights, your own restrooms. Slept right next to the creek. Trailheads walking distance away.
This campsite has it all. Views, shade, and spaciousness. River (across the road), lake, hiking, hot springs, St. Elmo all near by. The campsite host was great.
Indian Peaks Wilderness is an amazing area. You won’t be disappointed making this trek over the divide starting at the 4th of July trailhead. Make sure to stop at Lake Dorthy.
If you’re looking for a good base camp to hike James Peak Wilderness or Indian Peaks this is it. Close to Nederland, clean, and family friendly - with a nice playground.
On the edge of Lyons, this place is great for families. Tubing, playgrounds, and soccer field. Just blocks away from Main Street. A great family spot with small children.
Get the right campsite and you’ll have great access to Heaton Bay. A nice place for being just off I-70. Only negative is you can hear I-70 through the night.
A quiet campground. Pretty basic walk to campsite. Sites on the hillside are pretty close together. Though during the week it wasn’t full.
It’s an awesome place to chill, and explore. Turtle Rock trailhead connects to Vedauwoo campground. Boulders in your campsite. Great for kids, and climbers alike. Loud at night from I-80 and windy. But you can’t move I-80, and it’s Wyoming.
