A nit, but you know it going in if you use Dyrt, but no full hookups. However, proper planning results in long water views, clean, mostly level sites. Site 25 is ~-2 degrees to rear from Level. Friendly staff with clean dispersed sites. Great views!!!
I used to live near here before the strip mine went through. The camp is in the middle of a large reclamation. Lots of ponds and young trees. Great modern sites mostly dispersed.
Yes, we all want the latest fancy schmancy. If there are no spots, go to KOA every time for a good campground. They use angles to give more privacy. They have patios and grills and old trees for shade.
Another great State Park campground! While some amenities are lacking, no full hookups, many with power only, no pull throughs, it’s the dispersed nature, and is the nature. Clean large sites many on the water or with water views. Great spot.
Modern, with every single amenity! Not too tight sites, and even an adults only section, errawh! You feel like a big kid RV’er until you see row after row of Tiffin’s! The RV lifestyle at its most elegant.
The campground is modern with all of the glamping amenities. However, Elko is a gold mine Mecca so the trains run, and run, and run. Good overnight, but troubled sleepers will struggle.
It’s dispersed, it’s got views, it’s got friendly hosts, is got magpies, it’s got full hookups. And the views! If you don’t love this place, well, I just don’t know what you would like. It’s a perfect “In the wilderness close to civilization with civilization basic needs™️” campsite.
Dispersed is the extreme opposite of this campground. Loud from two major Golden thoroughfares, and stenchy from a nextdoor industrial facility. Sites are potholed and uneven with massive deferred maintenance with trash afoot.
We lucked out in getting an actual creek side spot, thus shade. The majority of sites are in the sun with youngling trees. Nice dispersed sites for the most part.
