Just awesome!

This place is amazing! It's not fancy but the location is spectacular. Access is off of I81, down a few back roads and across a causeway. Our site was a pull in and we faced a western view of Lake Ontario. We were treated to gorgeous sunsets and minimal light pollution at night. The stars were everywhere. We were able to drop our kayaks right in the water in front of our rig and paddle to our heart's content. The water is clear and cool. Our site was full hookup and gravel based. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing about this place says resort

We arrived here with high hopes and it went downhill from there. Our site was way to small even though we gave the length and width of our rig ahead of time. We were always looking for a place to park our tow because we had no extra space in front or back. The RVs were parked so close together that none of us could use our awnings. There was a fifth wheel to our left that could just barely get their slideouts extended. Finally, the site was not level. Much of the facility is outdated and a little ratty looking. I will say that our visit was two years ago so maybe they have improved the place. If not, shame on them for calling it a resort.

New, Clean and walking distance to the brewery.

This campground is really new but is well run. The sites are new, clean and fairly level. The power posts are shared between two campers so that took a few folks by surprise. You do have to think about which way you want to pull in in order to accommodate full hook up needs. The brewery is an easy walk and the food and brew are good. The AT is near so hiking is abundant. One of the negatives is that it is not clear where the campground is in relation to the brewery. When you do locate the entrance, it has a tall stone entry that is barely wide enough for big rigs. Most folks had to pull both mirrors in to get through. We loved it there and met some really neat folks. Very peaceful.

It has potential

The staff are really nice and the place is clean. Almost all of the sites are not even close to level. Not a big issue with a fifth wheel but a real hassle with a motorcoach. We changed sites three times and finally resigned ourselves to not being leveled. Very few of the sites actually sit on the canal and access to the footpath is a good 1/2 mile or better walk or ride. I know they are really working hard to get this place up to speed and I hope they continue to improve it.
