Cottonwood Campground forms a loop near the Little Missouri River. It's a short convenient drive from the visitor's center, and near the beginning of the larger loops that bring you to all parts of the south unit of the park. Bison wander in and around the campground, which offers 76 shady sites . Wild horses can also be found within the park, along the circular drives that take you around the colorful buttes. Sunrises and sunsets are quite beautiful.

Hoh Campground at Olympic National Park has 78 first-come-first-served campsites located deep within the rainforest on the westernsidof the park. There are more shades of green than there are names for them- and the moss that grows everywhere makes you feel like you have entered a fairy tale forest. P The campground has flush toilets and potable water, but no shower facilities.

This coveted campground is for tents only, fwith only 49 sites, and no reservations. However, it is worth it to get there early (before 9am) to nab one of the sites as someone else packs up! You will be in a prime location in Grand Teton National Park, with stunning views along the many hikes along Jenny Lake. There is a visitor center within walking distance, and the campground are centrally located between the north and south ends of the park.

Yellowstone is a huge national park, so it is to your advantage to be centrally located. Canyon campgrounds give you easy access to all parts of the park without having to change campsites. It is a large campground, with clean and handy laundry and shower facilities. The sites are wooded and spread across several loops. The highly informative visitor's center is in a complex of shops, restaurants, and post office. Everything you need is right there, and the employees of the park are helpful and friendly. From Canyon, you have easy access to both Hayden and Lamar Valleys, which are prime wildlife viewing areas. You can also easily get to the thermal areas, as well as the stunningly beautiful Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone waterfalls. There are countless hikes, long and short, throughout the park. Canyon is my go-to campground whenever I am at Yellowstone!

Gros Ventre is on the south end of Grand Teton National Park. It is a large campground along the Gros Ventre River. There are often moose in the area, and sometimes walking through the campground! The campground is just a few miles from the visitor's center, Mormon Row, the town of Jackson, and the local airport, as well as countless pullouts with incredibly scenic views of the Teton Range.

Colter Bay is on the north end of Grand Teton National Park. As well as a large campground, it houses cabins, marina, beach, general store, post office, gas station, and visitor's center. There is much to do and see in the immediate area, and the lake and mountain views are exceptionally beautiful!

The informative visitor's center is a short walk from the campgrounds. The campgrounds forms a large circle with easy access to the bathroom facilities. The various drives through the lava landscapes are within a few minutes of the campground and provide fascinating short and long hikes to caves and across the fields of lava.
