There is a lot of wildlife in the park area plus decent history for those that like a good history lesson. There are sections of the park that feel more crowded than others. They have pull thru, back in, group camping and plenty of tent space.
This is a really nice campground. The drive into the camping area has beautiful scenery. They offer basic to full hook ups. There are locations that you can hang out on the Meramec River during the day or hike and explore caves. Very well kept and friendly staff.
There is plenty of trails for walking, hiking, and bike riding. This is a nice campground that offers basic, and electric hookups. The sites don't have water at each spot but they have filling stations spread out. Each loop offers something different with the view. The shower houses are nice. The dump station offers 4 campers at a time.
This is a great choice for a campground. Each site is spaced out where you don't feel like you are hanging out in your neighbor's campground! Each site backs up to wooded areas with a view. This campground has full hookup with laundry services that are nice. We didn't use the shower house but they looked well kept. Custer's Gulch RV park is tucked away from the highway so you don't hear any of the road noise. I would highly recommend this RV park to anyone traveling up that way.
