This place is awesome! Free electricity and water hookups. The signs are on the poles. The couple who take care of the place greeted us with a big welcome to Denver City! Will definitely try to fit this into our travels again.

It’s a parking area for hiking with a few places for RV’s to park for a night. There is a sign asking campers to not block the entrance and parking spots for hikers. Views of Las Cruces and the surrounding mountains is amazing. Very quiet and dark all night.

This was a fairly easy drive down the road. A little washboard once you leave the pavement but it doesn’t last long. We have a 32foot motorhome and a small SUV and didn’t have any trouble getting to the area. It’s very easy to find as there were quite a few fire rings made up in the area. It’s not the most level but with a little work you can get level enough to run your refrigerator. It’s very quiet and peaceful here.
