Overall Very Peaceful

It was quiet and serene. The people there were respectful of the grounds and other people. When we went the tide had gone out leaving little tide pools around. It was very nice. Highly suggest

Huge Campground

There are so many sites here, that you could almost get lost. We almost gave up finding the camp host it was so big. We found a site along the lake, looking at the mountain. You could tell the people prior to us were slobs. There was garbage all over and they had their own bathroom spot in the woods adjacent to the site even though the bathroom was a short walk. There were a lot of black flying bugs around which swarmed our site and made doing anything nearly impossible.

Thor's well & Tide Pools

Cape Perpetua was a wonderful experience. You are close to a trail that can take you to Thor's Well and some crazy rock formations. It is also a short drive to some of the best tide pools we have ever been to. The campsite had hummingbirds, bunnies, and a plethora of glorious irises. The bathrooms were easily accessible and clean. We were luck enough to have a site next to the creek and we hung our hammock over the creek. It was very peaceful and the other campers were super friendly.

bucket list campground

This spot was BY FAR our favorite! There are some gorgeous beaches here and the sunsets are flawless! The campground was very family friendly and made for an awesome place to spend the weekend. The bathrooms were very clean and there were paths close to most sites for the bathrooms. The site itself was roomy and private. There was A LOT of wildlife here! From hummingbirds to martens that growled throughout the night and freaked me out. Beautiful campground and will definitely be going back.

Highly suggest! Close to Astoria, which is an awesome town. We went to Peter Iredale which was very cool. We saw elk on the beach while on the lookout tower. The campground was very nice. Generators were a little bit of a nuisance, but we could deal with them. There are showers. The bathrooms were very clean and well kept. Beware of the raccoons! But it was close to everything!

keep moving...

We went there for Memorial Day. There was no camp host. There was no grill over our fire pit. The sound of ATVs lasted well into the night and started SUPER early. The bathrooms were mediocre, at least they had flush toilets. The men's room lights never turned on, so all the men had to go into a dark bathroom after the sun set. You are very close to the dunes, which is an experience, but the campground was awful. There was garbage all around our site from the last campers. It made me question what exactly I was paying for.

Redwood 2nd Growth

We were there on a weekend. It wasn't super busy. There is a lot of privacy between campsites. I wish I knew that you had to pay for the showers, but it wasn't that much. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Karin was an awesome ranger at the entrance of the campground with a lot of information. There is a beautiful creek along the campground and a trail that runs along it, but at one point the trail just dead ends with construction. I wish there was a sign at the beginning of the trail. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Keep your eyes open for humming birds.
