The lake is beautiful had some great kayaking spots. Lots of the park is full time living. There is not a lot of space between RVs, did not enjoy sitting outside afraid we would disturb the tv next to us.
The campground is nice, but everyone is crammed in tightly together, very loud. If you like camping with lots of people this may be the place for you.
No beach access but does have a small lake next to a Dune. Was very crowded since it was small and lots of folks use it.
This was our summer wrap up trip. Close to home for us. Mountain roads are a tight squeeze for bigger vehicles. Sites are large and spread out, but it is a small campground. Road is close but not a lot of traffic. Best sites seam to be on the end loop. Water was under repair when we were there, luckily it was a short stay for us.
We spent a few days here to relax and enjoy the last bit of sun before the rain hits. Great amenities to just relax or for a base camp to explore the area.
For dry camping this is a great spot!!
It is a beautiful campground and Waldo lake is a treasure to see. Perfect place to sail or Kayak. We noticed lots of trail bikes as well. Bring lots of bug spray and screen tent if you plan to be outside. Mosquitos were very heavy everywhere. Best sites for trailers are first come first serve as most of the reserved spots are too small or on a slope. There are a few good ones though. We reserved 14 but switched to 19, which was perfect for our 31 foot trailer.
This campground is a great place to stay if you are here for other adventures! VERY CLEAN! and well kept. If you are looking for a spot to just enjoy the campground they don’t have much to offer. But if you plan to spend your days at the beach, Dunes, or fishing it is a perfect base camp! Price is very reasonable!
