I stayed here for Columbus Day weekend. I believe it was one of the last weekends it was open for the season, so it was pretty quiet. I stayed in the upper section of camp, but there is a middle section and after a lower section where the river is. The sites seemed closer together by the river, but not too bad. It was a nice stay.
I’m more of a quite, in-the-middle-of-nowhere kind of camper, so I tend to shy away from commercial campgrounds, but it was easier for me to commute from the KOA than from home when work was crazy because of COVID and I stayed for a few months- July til October. It is a nice campground, no complaints. I was in the seasonal section, which has some interesting folks staying there. The site was very nice and felt private. I like the reliability of KOAs, and I pretty know what I’m going to get when I book.
Quiet campground. The sites are very roomy and wooded. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the facilities were clean. Can’t ask for much more….
Our campsite was wonderful, with a view of the bay. Our truck broke down once we got there (luckily at our site and after we were all set up), and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were up and running working 24hrs. It’s a quite, down-to-earth place. Kind of how campgrounds used to be.
If you’re looking for privacy and quiet, this isn’t the place for you. However, you can’t beat the location and it’s a great place to go with a group. The site pad made leveling a breeze, and it was nice to have the water and electricity- not something you always find at Massachusetts State Park campgrounds.
Stayed here a couple of times and both visits were beautiful. One of my favorites
The staff I encountered were all very friendly and helpful. It looked like the sites were close together, but I was there before there were leaves on the trees and could see how there would be more privacy once they filled out. Wouldn’t mind a seasonal lot but they’re waiting list is quit long!
