We drove down from Portland to Free Your Mind campsite. We were pulling a light, T@B Boondock travel trailer with high clearance. The 3 mile gravel road was awful, rutted, washboard, steep has hell. Barely made it up there with a 4WD Tacoma truck pulling the trailer. The entrance into the campsites was narrow and it would have been next to impossible to turn around in there. The 3 sites were close together and not the least private. If someone else had been there it would have been more like joint camping and then impossible to get the trailer out. Dirty water provided. We turned around and spent 4 hours finding a state campground.
There is no owner on site and its just a piece of bush cut out of the forest with few amenities.
DO not book this place, a total rip off. Hip Camp does not let you write a review. Notice that all their reviews of this place are good ones.
