We like this campground quite a bit. After reading the other reviews, we decided to head somewhere else. BUT, really glad we decided to stop in to check it out.
The layout of the sites makes it a bit challenging. Think of a giant field, trees throughout to add shade and beauty, 5 paved roads dividing it up, then the electrical connection points were added to "try" to layout the individual sites. Some sites are huge, others are almost too small for popups.
Hard to to describe. Net net, give this one a try, you'll like it.
This week manicured campground served it's purpose. We were heading asking the south end of lake superior and needed a place to stop. If you like commercial-style campgrounds, you like this one. The site layout was easier accessed. Electricity at all sites. No sewer hookup. No trees, just a nice level pad.
We were planning to stay at Tettegouche State Park, but completely booked. After a bit of poking around the area we came across Finland State Campground. What a find!! Almost all of the sites are secluded. All are back in the woods, yet easily accessed. Our 32' 5er an easy fit. There are no hookups, water is a pump style so fill your big tank before arriving. This is good camping.
Top of the line campground. Surprisingly well spaced sites, facilities modern and clean. Trees galore. Clearly the locals use this park a lot. Strongly recommend
Super clean, nicely spaced, tons of trails. As Google guided is to the campground, we were getting concerned. Turns out, great campsite.
Quite pleasant. The campground is a bit dated, but more than adequate. The sites are pretty close together. There are quite a few camp sites who look like they live here long-term. For this style of campground, we liked it. Do have some ear plugs handy for the night time if you're a light sleeper. You can hear the highway and several trains come by.
The sites are nicely spaced designed in a way there are many "corner" sites with privacy. Super well maintained, shower facility very new looking and comfortable. Lots of trails. Multiple nights is a great option.
Not many campsites, but all very accessible for any sized rig. There are tent sites as well. All sites are messed against the Cottonwood trees for afternoon shade.
