Convenient spot on the Utah loop

We stopped here on our loop of the Utah big 5. Weren't expecting much but it surprised us! There was a nice river and some petroglyphs a short walk away. Water fill and some picnic tables. Spots were of a reasonable size.

There was a boat put in, and it seemed like many people were canoe camping.

Close to Mexican Hat, Valley of the Gods and Goosenecks state park

Rt 179 in for a few dispersed spots

This area has a few spots. The ones that seemed best to us in terms of access were off of 179. Coming in from the south about a mile in, there was a pull off to the right. Going further on 179 there was a bare rock spot on the left. Fine for sleeping, and others did end up joining us. Nice to walk around, pretty quiet at night.

No amenities. Service extremely spotty Verizon.

Convenient for Capitol Reef

This spot was very close to Capitol Reef. There was room still for a few more folks when we arrived on a weekday around 8pm.

It was extremely windy so we stayed in our car. Most other folks were in their cars or rigs as well. There were some spots amongst trees though that may have been a bit less windy. Big rig friendly. Dispersed camping - no amenities except a porter potty, which was clean! The landscape here was beautiful. It is right off the road, so there is some noise but not too much.

Favorite hike was Grand Wash to Cassidy Arch. We arrived early and had no parking problems at Grand Wash, and enjoyed extending the Cassidy Arch hike and not dealing as much with the crowded lot. Another one you want to hit early due to sun and heat. Gorgeous! Another tip - attend a ranger talk! We really enjoyed the geology one we went to, and it completely changed how we viewed the park from thereon out.

No reliable service here. To work during the day, we drove down to the visitor center in Torrey. Was able to work off of our mifi, Verizon.

Nice spot for an RV park

I'm more of a fan of dispersed camping, but we wanted a spot with showers and internet for a few nights. The host was welcoming and let us choose our spot, however if you are planning to work during the days, make plans for a new spot after the official checkout.

The spots on the edge looking over the field toward the cliffs were more secluded and nice, but very windy. There were wind huts for some, and fire rings although we didn't feel comfortable using them given the dryness and the wind.

There are spots for rigs of all sizes, and some with electric hook ups, some without. Wifi included, pay laundry.

Very close to Capitol Reef. Restaurant across the street is expensive, but good if you're looking for a fancier meal.

Fills up extremely fast, small spots

This campground fills up extremely fast, even on a Thursday when we went. The sites are pretty small, tent or car camping is all you'll be able to fit. We did see some larger rigs near the trailhead entrance, but not sure if this is technically allowed. There was a campsite host that arrived sometime around 7:30 who could probably give more information. Bathrooms, water, and a picnic area. The spots themselves, though small, were fine, generally nothing special but did the job!

If you're able to get a spot here, its worth it - the parking lot for the trail can fill up by 8am, and the best time for this hike is to start as early as you can.

As you start the hike, be sure to get one of the trail guides and look for the wooden posts with the numbers! Lots of cool things to look at including pictographs and granaries.

Busy but excellent views

There were a good number of spots if you keep going, some easier to get into than others, but in general the road in was very drivable. Some folks had bigger rigs as well. Beautiful views! Very quick drive to Capitol Reef.

Some sites have fire rings. Some cell service Verizon.

Excellent views, easy road in, poor service

Lots of great spots here. On a Friday some were filled, but still plenty available as you drove further along the road. Most spots were of a good size, bigger rigs could fit in some.

We chose one on the cliff edge, and had no one else in site.

A short walk away and a slight climb onto a small hill was the perfect spot to see a stunning sunset. Even just across the road from our spot was a gorgeous canyon view. Great stars!

Short drive to Escalante, and reasonable drive to various hikes in the park.

No service with Verizon on the mifi.

No amenities.

Most amenities, close to shuttle

We were dispersed camping on Route 9 but decided to stay longer and try to do some hikes after work, we managed to snag two separate reservations for two different sites. This is for B37. Had a bit more shade than our other spot but not as scenic. Still nice though.

Walking distance to bathrooms, wash bin, water fill. Self check in after hours but rangers do stop by to update the reservation post at your site. Good Verizon service- with our mifi, we had enough to work and take calls.

Electric hookup, but it was slow to charge our devices

Very easy to get to shuttle from the site. Better to not rush to get to the shuttle in the am, and instead go mid morning or late afternoon. We found weekdays late afternoon was the best time for some of the more popular hikes like Narrows and Angels Landing.

Great campground, most amenities

We were dispersed camping on Route 9 but decided to stay longer and try to do some hikes after work, we managed to snag two separate reservations for two different sites. This is for 58B. Great scenic spot but not too much shade. Got quite hot during the day. Could see the river from our site.

Nice shaded spot

Nice spot with trees! Physically cooler than other Utah spots due to the trees. Could even set up a hammock if you wanted. Wifi (Verizon) was decent. Easy road in.

There was a rock you could climb up (the only high point you see) for a pretty good sunset and better views of the land!

No amenities.

Arrived ~6pm on Wednesday and there were still a few spots left.

Close to Bryce and Red Rock.

Convenient place to stay

Stayed here one night while visiting Lake Powell. Got a peek of the lake from the edge of the campground. Only a few spots - on a Thursday ~4pm there were 2 left. No amenities. Slow, but passable wifi via Verizon.

Good views but pretty crowded

A decent place to camp. Views are good but it was kind of tough to find a spot. No shade but there were very clean port-a-potties. Was able to get decent service on the mifi (Verizon) after driving around a bit, and it is a pretty quick drive to Arches.

Some folks seem to be living here for extended periods, so you'll see a good number of folks holding spots or around during the day.

Stunning 360 views

Camped here in May 2021. Absolutely gorgeous. We chose the last spot before going down the hill toward the river and could see Mexican Hat, the river, and a wonderful sunset. There were only two other people camping in the vicinity (it was a Thursday) and they were far away so we had the spot essentially to ourselves! Unreliable cell service, couldn't get bars on the mifi. No facilities
