For a campground that’s not too far out of the way, you feel so secluded and hidden away in the woods. Its quiet and really easy to get some solitude.
This is a nice little campground, but it’s location (although convenient) right off the freeway is less than ideal. The background noise isn’t terrible but it’s always there. I like to camp away from civilization not next to a freeway.
Cushon’s Peak has so much to offer. It’s a beautiful campground with river access on a nice beach, and hiking galore. I’ve hiked all over the bluff known as Cushon’s Peak and it has easy parts and challenging areas. And although the entire vertical climb is probably going to be less than an hour if you don’t take breaks, it will challenge all, even the experienced hiker, to varying degrees.
