Located outside of Ely, but close enough if you need to run into town.
Staff was great, informed us about facilities and also map listed restaurants that deliver.
Hometown Pizza delivers to your site, good pizza.
They do inform you that by state law they have to have water pressure regulators on the water hookups so no need to add yours. (in Las Vegas at the KOA they had no idea what I was talking about but since we were within the city limits may not be needed).
Great view of the night sky after dark, dog parks are decent size, but by the time we got their our dog had found a spot on the roads.
Site pretty level, site and roads are gravel. Appears to be quite a few long term campers.
We were only there one night, but with everything if offers appears to be a place to stay for a week if so inclined.
Gets chilly at night, high altitude (close to 7,000 ft in elevation).
Campground right on the river and surrounded by businesses but no noise issues.
Pull through site was paved and level. You do need a water pressure regulator. Office does suggest the route to take for easier pull in. Some of the long term campers have multiple cars and large add-ons, so was tricky getting out.
Showers were nice and plenty of room. Sign on indoor pool stated it was closed.
Check in was easy, they do offer food items for sale but the beverage coolers were pretty sparse.
This is far enough away from interstate so you dont hear traffic, but you can still be back on the interstate within 5 mins. But trains are close by and will be heard.
Appears long term campers are at front of campground. Everyone around us were also doing 1 night stay, so everything was quit after sunset.
Finding the sewer hookup took some time, but finally found it. Need a water pressure regulator and when you check in they mention that.
Nice large trash bins which are along the path out of the campground and in the center of the campground. Dog area was clean and had plenty of grass.
Showers were good, but need some maintenance/adjustment but it works for a quick shower.
I would stay here again just because of the staff working there. They are friendly, helpful and just nice people.
Full hook ups, were escorted to site after checking in. Site was level, able to setup our camp stove and eat outside without feeling like other campers were right on top of you.
The showers are great, large you have a raised area with a chair to put items while you shower, good water pressure. Large sink area also.
3 separate dog runs based on size of your dog.
Great place to relax after a long day of traveling.
Were lead to our site and given general rules and codes to restrooms. Great views of the Snake River. Trains going by on the Idaho side could bother some, but after a few times it blended into the background. Also has a public boat ramp.
Restrooms were nice, did feel they were reluctant to give us the code to the shower facilities (separate from the restrooms and in another building).
Sites are close together, need a water pressure regulator. Large trash bins by entrance.
There are lampposts which are nice for security and taking the dog out at night, but cuts down on viewing the night sky. Given the remote location the night sky could be a real selling point.
Overall a great place to stay and the views of the Snake river are fantastic.
