All about the site

We stayed at two sites during our stay one of them was on the trail to catch the shuttle so we had a lot of foot traffic, especially when you go to bed early. But I was fortunate to get a site with 2 weeks notice. The second one was amazing it was like our own little woodlands. A little more private and plenty of trees to provide shade on a hot summer day.

Hot pool in the cold rain

We camped here over winter break. I had checked the weather conditions before we left and everything looked good. But there was a change at some point and since there is no cell service I couldn't check. But figured it out at 2 in the morning when we got a down pour of rain. Our campsite was located by the restrooms and near a creek. We heard the frogs all night long, I found it relaxing. My daughter, not so much. But she did love the pools. They felt amazing to be in, especially after a cold night.

There are coin operated showers.

Beach, creek and redwoods all in one

This was my first ever camping trip and we didn't have any reservations. We were lucky to pull in and here the news that they had vacancies due to cancellations. So we had our choice of the redwoods or beach. We picked redwoods. It was beautiful! The creek running behind our site made for a relaxing night of sleep. The only downside was that the sites are right next to each over. But our neighbors were super nice, warm and welcoming.

there is a short walk to get to a waterfall after passing through the limekilns

Quaint

I loved the quaint feel of our campsite. The only downside was that the main road runs alongside the grounds. Our site was small but my eyes were pleased by how it looked. Site had a fire ring, picnic table, and a stone grill. The grounds had running water, flush toilets and quarter showers.

Camped here at night and explored point reyes during the day.

Star gazers dream

This is a very quite relaxed campground. It has 15 sites some are bigger than the others. My daughter and I stayed in 13 and had no side neighbors only one that was across the road. At sunset it is very picturesque. Only .3 miles to arch rock.

There is no running water and only 2 vault toilets that are at the entrance of the campground. Bring plenty of water.
