Spectacular location, few amenities

Campsites are above the river in a pretty narrow canyon. A short hike to the water. Spacious sites. Most sites have trees for shade. We were in one (12) that didn’t, but we moved our chairs to a shaded space between sites. The paved pad is above the area with the table and fire ring.

We were there in 2023 when the river was high due to a record snowpack. There was a relatively calm pool near our site and some small beach areas to enjoy the (cold!) water.

Toilets are in permanent buildings but are not flush. No water or electricity anywhere in the campground. No cell service, but there is Wifi at the market 3mioes away.

Beautiful trees

There is another RV park at the harbor so you have a choice between the redwoods and the beach! This park is clean and the people are friendly. Wi-fi was down but our hotspot worked fine.

Dated but inexpensive

No concrete pads, just gravel with grass and picnic tables between. The landscaping looks a little overgrown. The fencing around the small dog park isn’t secure.

Office and laundry facilities are closed on Sundays. Bathrooms are small but clean with one toilet stall and two shower stalls each.

Full hookups and pull through spaces. Wi-Fi is available but we didn’t test it.

It’s a very quiet place. Fillmore has a Best Western with a golf course, a few gas stations and a Carls Jr.

Beautiful clean RV park within a park

RV spots are arranged in a horseshoe around a park with a playground. Sites on outside of horseshoe have to walk between interior sites to get to the park, bathrooms and laundry. Wi-Fi is good enough to work remotely. We didn’t try streaming.

Adjacent to the RV park are sports fields, picnic areas and a golf course.

The dog park is nice and clean and is reserved for RV park guests. The pool is beautiful and has a two-story tall slide. The pool is closed this summer and next (2022-23) but is normally open Memorial Day to Labor Day.

RV park is open to military and retired military.

Ten RV spaces at Best Western

This is just a few RV spaces attached to a Best Western. There are no showers but you can use the restroom in the lobby. The spots do have full hookups.

You can use the motel common areas, including a nice outdoor space. There’s a Chinese restaurant and a bakery/ice cream shop. It’s within walking distance of other restaurants and stores.

Wifi is poor.

Clean but Wifi is Poor

The park is clean and the facilities are nice. Most sites are gravel pull through with a concrete pad. They tell you that there’s limited access to Wifi. We couldn’t even connect.

Awesome Place to Relax and Play

Beautiful RV Park in stunning setting. Friendly staff and guests. It’s a converted drive-in theater and they’ve taken the retro theme to heart and run with it. We’ll definitely come back. I don’t see any bad sites. Maybe closer to or further from the movie screen depending on your preference.

Clean and Friendly

This RV Park is right off the 5 in Redding. There’s a small dog run fir some off-leash time. Clean bathrooms with showers. Some long term residents and some travelers. Everyone was quiet and friendly.

Quiet Oassis

Clean, quiet RV Park right off the 99. Spotless bathrooms with great showers. They have a rec room, workout room, outdoor bbq area with a nice grill, à pool and a little store. Wifi, phone signal and cable were good. Other campers were friendly couples and families. We were the only ones with a rental rv. It was a Saturday night in October and they still had some open spaces.
