A blast for kids, plenty of room for big rigs.
Great place to stay near caves and hiking in the national park. All the luxuries of a big campground. Lake swimming was fun. We stayed near fishing pond. Easy to get in and out with a big rig.
Great location for the arch or downtown visit. We felt safe in a rough looking area of STL. Big rig friendly. Pay attention to email for check in process and gate code.
Great campground away from town. You can take a day trip to the water park or the OBX or just hang out at the campground. Soundfront sites are awesome. The staff is also great fr check in to activities for the kids. Only downside for us were all the "midges"(insects) that wanted to stay on the side of our camper and truck. The sound was great to swim in!
Convenient campground located next to the ferry to get to Ocracoke. Great place for a quick stop before you head over to the island. The science are pretty tight. Amenities are slim. There are no signs for the office or to get in the campground. We took a horseback ride and had a great time. Horses were pretty gentle great for kids. The guide was a little rough.
Also definitely not a resort like the name may suggest. Maybe 30 years ago?
No frill amenities. Great location close to town. Some site will hold water in lots of rain so be on the lookout. Nice bathhouse and outdoor shower. Great owners, very helpful!
Awesome place. Crazy raccoons.
Boat in sites. Tent camping. Reserve early, especially weekends.
Have fun!
Great campground. We stayed in a tent. Had some friends stay next to us in a class b. A small trailer would fit, nothing big. No W/E/S but great place. Come early to reserve. You must set up camp immediately. No reservations. They're are 2 bathrooms with flushing commodes. There are water spigots to fill up your jug.
Plenty of outdoor activities in Wilson creek area. Biking, hiking, fishing, etc.
We've been to the obx many many times. Usually rent a house for a week or two. We just used this campground as a base camp to get out every day and explore the beach or sound.
We stayed in a soundfront site and paid a premium. It was not sound frount. It was on the canal and the view blocked by other campers. The sites are right. I felt like the neighbors sewer hose was under our pinic table.
We only used the laundry area in the entire place so I can't help with anything there. This is due to us having a driving pass to drive on the cape Hatteras seashore, which is why we go.
No shade. Don't know if we will be back
