Great place for A stop over. Proceeds go to the local railroad museum/foundation.
Don’t even try it with anything larger than a 20 ft travel trailer. Super convenient. 110v. 15amp electrical. Shared water. Gravel somewhat level pads. Poor communication. Info kinda available on the municipal website. 1st come.
Just ok. Nothing wrong. Showers old and poorly done but clean. Sites roomy enough but packed in. Have propane and trash. Popular park. Lots of coming ad going.
Been eating mules on the interstate. This place beats the heck out of a Cracker Barrel. Called a couple of hours out. Got a primo site ( B-13) 30 amp. Full hookups This site is level. Note there is no late checking after 7:30 pm. Stormy night coming. Safe and sound here
Easy in and out. Convenient to activities. Friendly folks
Everything that is said is spot on. Convenient for an overnight pull off when you are putting on the miles down the interstate. $12 per night, honor system. Electric was fine at our site. A bit confusing following Apple Maps in. Brough us in through the exit, late at night. Didnt find the pull throughs which were nicer, (fewer goat heads). Showers were too sketchy for me to indulge and that says something. Really nice city park for that morning or evening walk to get the kinks out.
An update since all other reviews are a couple of years old. Nothing has changed. Except I imagine the price! Accurately depicted above. A bit of road noise, which comes with the convenience. Clean. Friendly. A bit packed in there as far as the sites go. Site 42 is empty and looks like a winner to me. Town has plenty to offer for stocking up on a trip. We would stay again if passing through.
This is our 4th time here I believe over a 10 year time frame. This is 2024. The electrical has slowly deteriorated. Site 10 this time had serviceable electrical hook up but…. More later. Site 4 showed on my meter to be good but upon hookup had a faulty circuit so going without the ac this warm late May evening. Site 9&10 seemed ok. Got set up and then took stock of where we are and noted the dead elm tree overhanging the site. One of those limbs falling on you would ruin your day. Didn’t check the water or make use of the dump.
It does have a fairly secluded area to the left of the store. We were snowed in. Any port in a storm.
No hassle check in by phone. Spaces are easy access concrete pads. Place is clean 6 pages of rules though many if not all are repeated. Nice game room for kids. Clean bathrooms and laundry. $50 a night though in 2024.
