Cute Campground situated right inside the regional park. There is a playground and large covered picnic area. First come first serve camping, decent sized spots with shade, fire pits, and water. Enough room to park your RV or tent, or both. Clean and quaint. Heads up there’s no cell service once your in the campgrounds.
There are two camping lots here, the Upper and the Lower campgrounds. Both seem to be more geared for RV use, the Upper lot is almost completely asphalt and pretty exposed to the sun. I wasn’t a fan. The Lower lot however has ample shade and there’s enough room at some sites to comfortably put a tent. There are clean flush toilets, water and fire pits available. Also multiple hiking trails right from the grounds, and some playgrounds and basketball courts. Feels very family friendly. First come first serve spots and you make reservations online. Overall a pretty solid little campground tucked away from but still close enough to the city.
Proper dispersed camping, first come first serve $12 cash deposit box. About 20 decent sized spots with firepits, picnic tables & water. Nice campgrounds with lots of trees and big stones, and a creek that runs thru seasonally but it was dry when I visited 4/12/21. One downside there is NO service here or really anywhere on the 2. But if no service is no problem then definitely recommend! It’s Close to Hidden Springs and Switzer falls, surrounding area is very beautiful. I’ll be back!
Quaint and cute little campground nestled in the hills. Spots have picnic and fire pits available, with clean newly updated bathrooms near by. Lots of big boulders and trees on the landscape, providing ample shade and beautiful full trees in the summer.
HEAD UP: You do need an Adventure pass to stay here, available at the 76 gas station near by - $5 a day or $30 for the whole year. FYI NO water available tho, so pack it in and pack it out. Would recommend and will be returning :)!
Gorgeous location right on the lake, the waters clear and there’s a generous amount of trees surrounding for shade. I haven’t stayed the night here yet, but when I called the number available the ranger said their process is reserved only at least 24 in advance online $30 a day- quite far from the freedom of pull up and park dispersed camping as it is labeled by other reviews. Maybe that was the case in the past but not today as of 4/1/21.
Property is very clean and there are picnic tables and fire pits available. Just stopped by to check it out but I will definitely be back. Would recommend :)!
I didn’t actually stay here as I was looking for a tent camping spot, but I did drive around the facility and it was super clean and looked like a great spot if you’ve got an RV. Pool and clean bathrooms available, host also mentioned it has WiFi access.
Daily rates started at $65 a night, which was a little out of my budget, but if you’ve got the money and you’ve got the rig I’d totally recommend staying here!
Update as of 4/1/21 Unfortunately this IS NOT A CAMPGROUND. Maybe it was years ago but this location leads you to a residential housing tract. Save your time and go elsewhere :(
