Standard KOA with a great view

Stayed 8-1-24

Good: KOA like expected, but great view.

Bad: Mile long dirt road to get to entrance.

Would I stay again: ?, I might try West entrance next time.

Standard KOA

Stayed 7-31-24

Everything you expect from a standard KOA + Free pancakes.

Enormous KOA

Stayed 7-30-24

If you like KOAs, you will love this place. Big, super clean and nice, all you can eat pancakes for $3.50 and play grounds for the kids (big kids also)

If you don't like KOAs because you want to camp by a quiet lake back 20 miles back on a dirt road, that's great but you don't want to stay here.

WOW-What a Beautiful Place

Stayed 7-7-24

Nice stop along the GDMBR. Campsite was next to the creek that flows from the lake. Words lack how beautiful the place is, but the picture help give you an idea.

Me and my friends cycle in, but I also saw several cars, bring water or filter.

Nice flat piece of grass

Stayed July 2024,

Good: Flat piece of grass to place two tents for only $ 20 bucks. Just what I needed at 10pm

Bad: One quote from son sums it nicely, "saw the mens room and so used the women's". Also, two miles of dirt road was less than fun. Would have been nice if the pay station had more directions.

Future: I would remember to make a reservation at the KOA 10 minutes away.

Beautiful Open Sky

Good: It was a clean, cute little campground on our way to the Bad Lands in South Dakota. The bathrooms and showers were neat and tidy. Only $15/person for tent camping on a great lawn was a plus. I got some wonderful pictures of sunsets just to add to the great camping.

Bad: Wifi was a little weak and lost a few times during our trip.

Future: If I were in the area, I would definitely stop by and spend the night again.

Cute Little Camping Spot

Good: It was clean and tidy, had ice and firewood for sale, was close to the boat ramp for the Osage River, and the bathrooms looked to be newly remodeled. Good shaded and flat spot for our tent.

Bad: No one on-site, no TP, no paper towels, no internet (Other campers said it had been working until the power went out during a storm a few days before; when the power was restored, the internet didn't come back)

Conclusion: For $44.29/night, I would keep going next time.
