Plenty of spaces available on this Friday after Thanksgiving. This location is further from the interstate, so traffic noise is minimal. Area is filled with nicer hotels. Safe and secure location.
Nice, a little road noise. First time camping at a Cracker Barrel in my 25' RV. I did not call ahead to confirm but did see 2 other RVs here when I arrived. Able to access Wifi from RV parking spots.
Google maps led me to the wrong place (close!). It was late, and a quiet area, so I pulled over at a small turn off on the left side of the road, near a small information sign and a small white shack for observing wildlife. Minimal car traffic and no problems sleeping. I was roughly near 34.895448,-102.111600
Mostly residential area until you get to the open space. I didn't make it to the actual coordinates as I took a wrong turn near the end, but there is a ton of open space out here. Easy to get to in 25' RV. Recommend.
Arrived just after dark. Kept my headlights off as I drove in as I didn't want to disturb others. I saw a small pull off for a spot, and I took it. In the morning, I discovered I hadn't gone all the way to the actual campground. Lots of places for people and almost no one here on a lovely Friday evening in November. Easy access for my 25' RV. Highly recommend. We were able to see the milky way (faint), satellites, and 3 shooting stars, all in about an hour.
We camped here in a 30 foot RV on a Monday in late June. Tons of amazing available sites. This is the best free camping we may ever experienced.
Arrived here on a Sunday evening in a 30' RV. No one is here. Road is quiet. Lots of open space but quite sandy. We likely would have been fine but decided to stay closer to the road where it's gravel instead of sand.
