One of my favorites

This park and campground is one of my favorites for sure. The park is full of things to do such as hiking, horseback riding, a petting zoo, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, bicycling, etc. The campsites are awesome with both primitive and powered sites. The one I stayed at was close to a small lake in a good shaded area and plenty of good trees to tie up a hammock. Campers beware do not leave any food in totes outside of your camper or tent the squirrels will chew a hole in the lid trying to get to the food lol… The bathhouses are nice and plenty located throughout the campground. Due to covid-19 you may want to check in with the front office and see what activities are available before booking. When I went it was at the early stages and even then some of the activities were closed. 200 Terrace Dr, Pelham, AL 35124

Breathtaking

The state park and campground are top notch! The views are amazing!!! There are trails to hike, a pool, a beach area, fishing, cool gift shop and store, and a restaurant. The campsites are great! They have both powered and primitive sites. There are two sections upper and lower. The lower was awesome close to the beach area and a short drive to the pool and restaurant. The upper is where all the hiking trails are located along with the pool, restaurant, and store. Only stayed one night but was hands down my favorite place I've been so far. Friendly staff, imaculate bathhouses and they have picnic tables and water on the powered sites as well. Will definitely go back when I have more time to stay. 19644 AL-281, Delta, AL 36258

Great place

I really enjoy Smith lake campground it has a lot of great sites. There are plenty of shades sites for summer camping. They have primitive and powered sites with most having picnic tables and some with shared water. It is very affordable and quiet with lots to do. They have canoe rentals, mini golf, pool, and a beach area by the lake. The bathhouses are close by to the powered sites which is really nice. The only drawbacks are the bathhouses at least for the mens side is they need to have a place to hang your shower bag with clothes and toiletries instead of having to sit them on the floor. (Tip now that I've been a couple of times go buy a suction cup hook to hang your bag or towel on). I'll definitely be going back! Note you'll have to check with front office about pool and canoe rentals due to the covid-19. 403 Co Rd 386, Cullman, AL 35057
