A large campground with a lot of unrealized potential. 5 camp areas, but only 2 have shower houses and flush toilets. Well over half of the camper sites are "seasonal," and some of those folks seem to resent transient campers. The shower houses are ok. Not good. Just ok. When there are only 3 shower stalls, it's pretty important that they all work. Honestly, within the same area is Mohican State Park. Most campers would be better off tho book there!
This was my first visit to this campground. It was lightly occupied, especially for a summer weekend. Plenty of shady campsites, good balance of primitive and camper sites. The hiking trails provide ample entertainment. Oddly, the high point was the shower house. Either new or remodeled recently, it was clean and comfortable (not always a given!) Overall a pleasant experience. I'd go back again!
