The Portal RV Resort (the North Campground) was an excellent place to stay. It was very well maintained and obviously cared for. The pool and jacuzzi were a great touch to end a long day of hiking all over Arches NP.
Lodgepole is a fantastic site. While it was out of the Flaming Gorge area, it was close enough to get to many of the southern features of the reservoir. From what I saw each site was large enough for a RV or camper trailer and had a large level area for a tent. There was a RV dump on site for $6. We took a camp trailer, so I did not check out the restroom on site, but there is one advertised. One thing I did not like was how close the sites were together. We could hear rowdy children in the site next to us clearly while outside of our trailer. Other than that, this place was a gem.
