It's a KOA, so if you're looking for large spaces to spread out & enjoy it's not gonna be your cup of tea. However, it's a very nice KOA with extremely helpful and friendly staff, great fried chicken, and easy access to the Butte visitors center & nature trail. We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness and variety of activities including outdoor oversized chess, a children's mining activity, etc. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the beauty of Butte America.
Great place to park for a night or two! Very clean and well maintained, with a great playground and pool area for the kids. The dog park is very small, more of a kennel area, but you can easily walk down to the pond and city park for more exercise.
Nice lil campground in a pretty, wooded forest but holy cow there's poison ivy everywhere! We have it popping up in the mowed area of our camp site even. Not a great area for little kids because of that, though they do have a nice little playground area and plenty of short walking trails. It'd be a good overnight rest stop on the way to or from Grand Forks, but not a destination in itself. A great note is that the camp hosts and rangers are plentiful, friendly, and helpful!
Stayed at Washegum campground overnight and although the camping spots were very close together there's a lot of vegetation and trees separating the lots. Beautiful playground right behind us, and an amphitheater as well. There's multiple hiking trails, a dog park, swimming area, and picnic areas as well! Very kid and dog friendly, we will definitely be visiting again.
We stayed here overnight on a long journey & were very impressed with the friendly and clean environment! Nice shrubbery and trees throughout, a pool during the summer season, dog park, and playground. Will definitely be staying here again.
Nice little stop on your travels up or down I29. Located in a cute little town, with a multitude of spots that can accommodate even the largest RV. Full hookups available, even when it's below freezing. The office has propain, ice, and some food supplies available. Bathrooms & laundry. The spots are mostly side by side, with grass patches between though there are bigger campsites available. A gas station with multiple fast food options is located just down the highway. Would definitely stay here again when traveling through.
We stayed here originally planning on one night that morphed into three due to weather. It worked out perfectly, we had full hookups even in freezing weather, and access to laundry, bathrooms, and a playground. Located just outside of town, we felt very comfortable even in inclimate weather.
We made a pit stop here on the way North and were impressed with this hidden gem. There's about a dozen RV spots with electric hookups, a public bathroom, picnic areas, folfing, and several playground areas. You pay what you can for a donation, with a four night limit.
A fairly large, clean RV park with full hookups, and amenities to include a laundry facility, bathrooms, playground, and dog runs. They do ask you to only hook up to water when in use so we just disconnected at bedtime. It's located right off the interstate and the traffic is easily heard so I wouldn't recommend if your sensitive to noise. Check out is a bit early, at 11am. Our only main complaint was our neighbors, we were parked near some full timers with little yapping dogs they left outside to go off anytime a leaf blew all night long. With how attended the park is I would have expected quite time to be enforced.
We decided to give this place a try and are so glqd we did! It's a nice little campground with maybe 10 pull-through spots long enough to accommodate most, if not all. Full hookups including electric, water, and sewer available. The spots are spaced close together with about a 4 ft median of grass between but it's not a busy place, in fact we had the whole area to ourselves! Pretty quiet,, can only hear the nearby interstate faintly. There's a dirt path to the lake with fishing access and a lot of open area to run and play. Access to a shaded picnic area as well. It's kept clean and we did see someone do regular drive bys to check on the place. Overall a great spot & we will definitely stop again for a longer stay!
We stayed overnight here but wouldn't plan on longer just for the fact that there's not much room. The site is small, maybe 20 or so campsites right next to each other all on gravel. Pretty clean, though the feral cats are abundant. Very nice staff and reasonable prices in the store, and though their hours are short you can call if you need something. Right across the highway from the water.
Beautiful little park with both back in & pull through spots, full hookups, and deer everywhere! Campground manager is very kind and helpful.
