Fall Aspen leaves.

Small park, plenty of room to relax. Trash receptacles close. Creek on the south side of park. Many pit toilet. Camp host during operation. Both times we stayed here the host was very helpful and friendly.

South Cottonwood Creek

Boondocking. South of Cottonwood lake campgrounds. Must travel one mile past the FS campground. On road 344. I would recommend to stop at the lake and scout the area. You cannot turn around on the road with a long rig. The road will turn into a high clearance FS unmaintained.

Camp on the Arkansas River

Nice place. Staff is very friendly. Pull though and back ins. Tent spots and cabins. 30 50 amp. Water and some spots with sewers. Nice office some supplies, showers, laundry. Spot by the river for fishing and or sitting. A bench to have a cup of coffee and watch the river. Cons. By hwy 50, busy in the day time, but not much traffic at night. This a great spot to refresh supplies before boonkocking in the mountains.

Fall Visit.

Aspen leaves in full color. Peaceful park, great place for hiking. Camp host was great and helped us find a great spot.
