Great secluded camp with views

Nice relaxing camp, 5 - 10 sites. No water, 1 pit toilet. Quiet and beautiful area. Follow the M5 route from M10 coming from Stonyford. Don't rely on Google maps or you'll spend hours trying to reroute after trying to drive up a ATV trail. Beautiful single lane dirt road up the mountain once on M5, steep drop offs. Dusty with mild bumps and some wash boarding. 2wd truck easily. Maybe if your adventurous in a civic. Must obtain a permit to have a fire, easily obtained online or through local forest service office.

Fantastic secluded camping

Great time camping here in early November 2022. Stayed in spot 4, its furthest back into the canyon and I think it helped cut down on the wind. The walk to the beach was 60 seconds and the ocean can be seen from the site. Cool ww2 structures. You get a code to open the gate uptop and drive down to park for your stay.

Strange semi loud sounds during the night reminded me of the show Lost. Wind and rain hard in the night but the morning brought beautiful skys.

I would camp here again in a heartbeat.

Spots are separated substantially from each other.

Spot 4 looked like it had pads for 4 tents.

Spot 1 looked like they could see the bridge from it, but directly on the wind path.

Great location, lots of sites, windy.

Beautiful spot to go camping. First time here, tent camped in a halfdome 2+. Second day was so windy one of the poles bent! Saw several tents mangaled and in the trash.
Know how to anchor your tent! Lots of RV's. Quiet at night. Trails to the beach, and at low tide there was so much sea life for my son and I to explore.
We saw 1 shower building with 4 showers, $2.50 in quarters. Boat launch for med to small boats. Fish cleaning station.

We came Fathers day weekend, didn't have problem getting a site late in the day. $35 cash $40 credit card price for tent with 1 vehicle. The store has a good selection. Firewood is light weight, but a big bundle is Cash only $9.

I'd go back.

Great location next to trail heads

Wonderful place to camp if you will be hiking Yosemite. Walking distance to trails. Trees surrounding campsites, not to close together, but not spaced a lot either. I've been in December and in summer, much less crowd in the snow and its beautiful. There are restrooms and a store a medium walk down the road.

Friendly smaller campground for RV's

This friendly locally owned campground is right as you come into clear lake, nice and convenient. The owners were very nice and gave us the tents for troops program discount. We used a large tent, and in hindsight I would recommend rv's only, due to the closeness of the sites to one another. The site we had was right on the water, and it was great to see the ducks and fish throughout the day!
The traffic noise was noticeable but not annoying. Everyone in the campground was friendly and another tent family came to camp next to us. Many of the campers were using their time to sit and relax while fishing from the shore.

Great beach camping

Good beach camping! Hiking up the dunes in the evening and morning for wonderful sunrises and sets.
Its a beach, soft sand, peaceful, breezy. We had a good time and would go back.

Nice place to camp while on the road

Camped here with our tent while passing through on the way to TX. Peaceful and nice star views!

Nice camping by the water

Good experience camping here. Really loved watching the sunset over the water while taking a stroll by the shore. Metal fire pit made perfect for dinner, and the ground was mostly even for our tent.

Peaceful tranquil and beautiful campground on the lake

Visited in Fall, beautiful time, All the trees were changing, it was beautiful.  The campground was nice, the spaces were separated, we tent camped.  Store a few minute walk down the road, along with place to rent boats for the lake.  Very calm and peaceful area.  Because of the beauty and seclusion, wonderful time. one of the best campgrounds/locations I've ever been to.

Great campground.

Nice Campground, drive-up access with ample room to park. Space between campsites so you're not on top of each other. It was packed and there were some people making a lot of noise well into the middle of the night. Other than that it was great, some good trails for hiking that Branch off from the sites. There were also walk-in campsites. We did purchase firewood from the campground, and saw quite a few large banana slugs.

Great Remote with outstanding Views.

Excellent campground, secluded, high up (10,000ft), and Beautiful. My wife and I went camping here in October. It was snowing at the time and windy, averaging 29 degrees in the tent, so not bad. Our awd car did just fine on the snowy road without chains, although we had them incase. I would go back again.
