Nice place

High cliff is a nice place . lots of hiking trails to choose from and a big lake . Beautiful views. Camp ground had nice wooded spots and vary dog friendly.

Amazing

Loved this place! So many trails , 3 nice camp areas, clean bathrooms, dog friendly, and beautiful views . I went mid week while it was freezing ,so not to many ppl , but Friday night rolled around and it sure did fill up fast . I will definitely go back in the summer for kayaking .

Nice place

This state park was vary nice . The site was a nice size and had a platform for the tent so we didn't flood . Unfortunately it poured and was freezing when we went so we couldn't do much hiking. The bathrooms were clean and also has the weather report over the speakers which was nice . They are vary dog friendly although you can't take your dog up the tower ( prob for safety reasons) . In the summer they also have a small water park there, which for family's is awesome . Definitely will go back 👍

Beautiful

As far as campgrounds go , it wasn't bad . Just something is it's a self service check in which I didn't know , and when I asked for help one of the camp host wasn't vary helpful but since I had a reservation I just needed to go to the site( which was not posted ) . Our neighbors had a generator going ( which is posted that it's prohibited) which was on for the 1st day before someone finally told them to turn it off . Our site was beautiful and overlooked the lake , but you couldn't get to the water from our site , there was about a 6 ft cliff so for kayaking you have to go down the road from the campground and pay $2.00 for a day pass . It's not a bad place to stay just don't know if I'll ever go back .

good place to kayak

the island is a nice place to visit. we stayed in the north loop on a water front site . great for just putting the kayaks in and going . they are vary dog and family friendly. the camp sites are a little close for my liking but it was a busy labor day weekend and every site was filled . my only big complaint would have to be that they only have one shower house on the other loop(South loop) north loop just have vault toliets . all in all I would recommend this place .

love this place

I have been coming here since I was a little kid. the campground can get a little crowded but we stayed in the non electric side which was not to bad .I do recommend making reservations they do fill up fast. there is hiking , swimming, and you can even bring your dogs.

close to the beach

the campground was clean and staff is vary nice .really close to the beach which was nice (fyi bring change for the parking meters at the beach) one thing I wish was that you could drive to the bathroom but all in all a vary nice place . unfortunately the whole time we were there it was storming and we couldn't really enjoy the hiking this campground had to offer.

Nice place to unwind

We visit mirror lake every year. Great place to unwind. Nice, clean camp sites. Easy access to the lake for unloading your kayak, also have kayak rental there if you need it. Just a nice place either for a day trip or to camp.also vary dog friendly!!!!major plus!!
