Beautiful

The hike in and out are long and strenuous so be prepared. There is little to no shade so you’ll want to hike early morning or late afternoon/early evening. The campground is first come first served and there’s plenty of room even for a group of 10-15 There are vault toilets that are pretty clean. I recommend bringing toilet paper because sometimes they run out. Compostable is best. There is also spring water so bring a collapsible jug. There’s a little store and restaurant in town which is about 2 miles from the campground.

Secluded

This campground was beautiful and the sites were so big and spread out. We got 4 sites and ended up only using 2. We were right in the trees and our sites backed up into a meadow. There were not a lot of “amenities” at the campground but we didn’t need any of that. There was an outhouse near our site and it was kept pretty clean. We had 5 adults and 10 kids so we kept to ourselves the entire time we were there. I highly recommend this campground.

Noisy

Overall the campground was fine. Spaces were large enough and the site I was in was pretty secluded. I had problems with people getting loud and staying loud until 3 am. Obviously whoever is supposed to be taking care of that was not aware or just didn’t care. I literally screamed 3 times “Please be quite” to be avail. Also you could totally hear the traffic from the nearby road for the entire night. It’s was a minor annoyance but still an annoyance. It was a trip for me and my sister and the first one we had ever been on together. It would have been much nicer had the camp host done their job and the road noise was more quite.

So spacious

I highly recommend this campground. Not only were the people working there so nice the grounds themselves were immaculate. The sites were so big with plenty of room to spread out and have some distance from your neighbors. We stayed Memorial weekend and it was still so peaceful minus once incident with a loud radio from the neighbor who turned it down at 10. If you’re in the area this is a must stay. Be prepared for the cold nights though. We happened to stay during a freak cold snap but it still gets pretty chilly especially if you’re tent camping. PS make sure you’re staying bear safe as they are clearly in this area.

Wooded

Awesome campground set in tall pines. Has bathrooms and drinking water but no showers which we knew in advance. We did a walk in site. We stayed in site 27 which was big enough for my large family tent and canopy plus we were able to park close to our site. We were walking distance to the lake which had plenty of shore fishing.

Woodsy

My daughter and I camped over the weekend and had so much fun. We were on site 41 which was a little too small for our large 8 person tent, but a smaller tent would have fit just fine. We weren’t able to have a fire because of this, but we had a blast anyways. But it looked like site 40 had a little bigger spot. It rained the whole weekend and while our site got wet the ground was so well maintained that it drained quickly and never got muddy. Even though we had a few rude people being extremely loud at 1am bear is, I would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for somewhere to go.

Dirt dirt and more dirt

Ok so we decided to stay here since we have young kids and thought having a pool and showers available would be great. Well the pool was great but the showers were lack luster at best. We stayed 3 nights and two of the 3 nights there were people so loud is ruined the experience. It seems the people who are in charge of enforcing quite time weren’t interested in it. We had one of the biggest sites there was, site 91, so that was a bonus but it was up a large hill and hard to get in and out of since the “driveway” was uneven with lots of dips that has loose dirt. Also i called ahead to see if our site could accommodate our large family tents. They said yes. Thankfully we opted to being one large and one small tent otherwise there would not have been room. There was barely enough flat ground for our two tents. Some of the sites were so small only a small tent would fit and nothing else. Also fire rings are not included which we knew ahead of time but is still annoying. Also if you want a specific site you have to pay extra when you reserve or they could move you to a smaller or less ideal location. Also you can hear the noise from the main road that runs right next to the campground. I had read reviews that said you couldn’t. Well we could…. all night long. We will not be returning to this campground.
