I’m bad about planning ahead and couldn’t reserve a campground at my usual spots also was trying to avoid the smoke in the valley from all the forest fires. This area was recommended because they are all first come first serve. I drove up on a Friday in July and was able to get a spot at Dunlap campground. The campground filled up by 5:00 Friday night and stayed full the rest of the weekend. Each camp has a picnic table, fire pit and a bbq. Dump lap has 17 spots and a vaulted toilet. There was a small creek behind the campground which was nice. It was about a 30 minute drive to fort Bragg made for an easy day trip. The campground is maintained by cal fire $20 a night. No camp host on site, cal fire crew came in once a day to check the campground. Fellow campers weren’t too loud, the birds were worse in the morning. I’m
Folsom lake is a great place to take the boat, beals point has a snack bar, life guards and equipment rentals, there are plenty of places you can drive or boat to get away from the crowds if you prefer.
Clean bathrooms, trash cans, water. The Host was friendly and informed us this year has been full everyday due to Covid and you should make a reservation or you probably won’t get a site, they have filled up every day.
Bathrooms, picnic table, fire pit. No water. Continently locates next to a boat launch.
Nice big area away from the other camp grounds. Private bathroom for group site.
Clean Bathrooms, running water, showers on Union Valley Reservoir what more can you ask for! Highly recommend you get a reservation
The camp ground is right next to union valley reservoir. Beautiful location, water bathrooms but make sure you get there early it fills up fast.
Nice lake, snack bar, beach life guards on duty. Great hiking and biking trails.
If you looking to park your RV in sacramento this is a good place. It’s city camping for sure. Cal expo holds the state fair and concerts.
