Noisy, but nice

This campground is tucked away off the highway and is very wooded. They also rent out UTVs and ATVs and it seemed like the majority of people there either had their own units or rented them so that makes this campground not the quietest. Since the UTVs are so popular throughout the Black Hills, I don’t think that this is unique to this campground.

Bathrooms were nice and didn’t seem like many people used the shower facilities which meant we never had to wait! Each site had a fire pit and picnic table.

There’s a little store and concessions in the lodge but we didn’t visit either so can’t speak on prices or value.

Overall a lovely campground and will definitely visit again!

Great location!

Located west of Glacier Park on highway 2, it’s close enough to visit the park and also close to Whitefish and not super far from Flat Head Lake. Sites are close together but most have trees between each spot so there’s a feeling of privacy. Most sites are pull through and are very easy to access. Bathrooms were nice, but basic. They have a laundry room with pay machines and a deep utility sink where we washed our dishes. There is a little cafe and small gift shop that has some goods, but mostly souvenir type stuff. Get the huckleberry muffin! It’s amazing!

Perfect!

Loved this campground so much! Each site has a concrete pad (some tent sites have wooden platforms) so leveling is super easy! Mature aspen and oak trees make up the majority of the grounds and this makes each site feel super isolated and private. Bathrooms are a little old, but the water was warm and had good pressure, so they were ok in my books. Signage isn’t super clear when coming into the park to find the campgrounds: it’s verrrrry far away and will make you question if you took the right road or not. The Gardens themselves are so beautiful to explore and there are lots of picnic areas that are super pretty! The gift shop is wonderful and has a great mix of Canadian and local North Dakotan products and goodies. Can’t wait to go back and rent a kayak and really explore more!

Beautiful!

Great campground with large, mostly shady sites. Very large (150+ sites) but doesn’t feel that big. Some sites are quite uneven so be sure to have lots leveling equipment if you aren’t familiar with your site. I did notice poison ivy in the wooded area surrounding our spot, so be aware for yourselves and any children. Bathrooms were recently remodeled and are super nice! The beach is large and very nice with soft sand and shady picnic areas. Rental kayaks and paddle boards for great prices and a concession stand as well. Lots of trees perfectly spaced for hammocks and to hang clotheslines!
