Camp4 wannabe vibes

One parking area and with all sites clustered in the middle. Gave camp4 wanna be vibes. Really close to your neighbors, just hope you don’t get a bunch of drunk college kids. Bit of a distance from anything.

Island camping

You can basically bring all your camp gear on the ferry. The walk was only like 10/15 mins. Put toilets, drinking water. Pretty peaceful and the ocean is so nice. Must because of the ravens and foxes.

Chillin

Friendly host. Decent sized, clean bathrooms with flush toilets. Walking distance to duck pass. Arrived in the dark but found site pretty easily.

Just there for the trail

Walking distance to trailhead. Saw a scorpion. Small sites and the pavement is a bit cracked

Near whits

Nice spot near mount Whitney’s trailhead. Decent bathrooms. Some what of a watching destination from the portal. Small sites

Decent

Decent spot, towards the bottom of the park but still a decent distance from everything. Small selection at the camp.

Away into the stars

Bit of a drive to get there, high clearance vehicle is ideal. Very peaceful and the lake is beautiful. The bathrooms were clean but smelling real rancid, so try for a site that’s not next to it.

Chill spot

Tucked away, not super close to everyone. Nice little spot.

Nice area

Nice site inside the park. Easy to find/ only stayed one night

I’m the middle

Great location within the park. Walking distance to the lake. My site was in front of 2 others so they did walk through often.

Large cozy

Pretty big and busy site. Some spots are small. Saw a moose and calf not far.

Near rainier

Cute little site just a short drive to the entrance of the park. The host seem sweet and there’s some hiking trails near.

Inside the park

Pretty big site that is a short drive to paradise. Many hiking trails nearby. Sites are a bit rugged and small but it was cozy enough.

Campground is nice, site not so much

Campground is small and cramped together. Site 17 is a tent only site with 15/16 behind it. The other campers would walk right in the middle of site 17 because I don’t think they notice the trail behind the bear box leading to their site. Easy to find and get to. Bathroom is just across the street. There’s showers and laundry at the check in office

Long road to nothing

This campsite is literally in the middle of some houses in the hills. The road is windy and seems to never end. Someone stole my campsite but I was able to get a different one. Weird loop of awkward pull / back in spot. Bugs every, seems like this is where the kids come to hang and drink. I only used it for a rest area to split up 13 hours of driving. Nothing special.

Right on the lake

Cute cozy campsite. Sites are near each other and you’ll need to pass but some sites to get to yours. There’s a parking lot for cars and you take a very short walk to site. Clean and well Kept.

Walking distance to Gull lake

Small tucked away campground. Walking distance to Gull lake and really close to “downtown” June lake. Has some shade and flush toilets and sinks. The site were a bit close to each other and camp host was friendly. Being so close to the lake, I did get bit up by bugs.

Short getaway

Really enjoyed this campsite, it’s near rock creek lake, Crowley lake and mammoth. I stayed in site # 27 which was in the back corner. There’s a creek ( lower rock creek) that runs through the campground. Some people were fishing and we took a small hike on the rock formals east of the creek. It was quiet however it’s near the highway so you do hear the occasional traffic that runs up the 395. The camp host seemed nice but I didn’t really talk to him much. They do have pit toilets but we’re really clean.

One of my favorites

I really enjoy this campsite. I believe it has over 100 sites, and they are pretty spaced out. I never felt on top of my neighbor. There’s some trees so you’ll have to search for a good shaded site. Every time I’ve been out there it’s been on the colder side so the sun was never an issue. The site is popular so I wasn’t able to book a spot last year. June lake is walking distance which is nice. However last year it was so packed. I like that the tiny town of June lake is right down the street and mammoth is only about 30 minutes away.

Very beautiful and green

Campground is a bit small but it’s pretty. There are plenty of redwoods around so it’s very shaded. Sites are fairly close together.. I have a RTT and I had to swing my ladder to the other side because the neighbor tent was so close and I didn’t want to step on anyone. It’s clean and they offer cabins and tents to reserve. They have toilets and showers with hot water. Maximum 2 cars and 6 people per site since it’s very small. There is a river that runs though the site. I felt that it was a bit expensive for my taste since the charge per person and car but it’s a resort. My friends felt like it was too cold and there were children screaming so it’s not very quiet. I didn’t not have phone service but I did see a pay phone and there’s a general store and tavern.
