Easy access

Showed up at sunset and parked in first site. Noticed one other camper when I pulled in. Walked around with dogs then called it a night. After 20-30 mins in car I rolled over and noticed two light colored figures in distance. I stared for a few mins trying to figure out what they were but couldn't and laid down back down. When I woke up later in the night I looked out again and noticed the light colored objects were gone. The next day I realized it was likely a person(s) in light collred clothing. I debated leaving but stayed one more night bc a couple had parked beside me for the night.

Overall I felt safe bit its a very open space and that makes it a perfect place for someone to creep.

Most sites are beside each other but Campground is spaced out well. No water/trash/electric. There are vault toilets.

Flys were bad when wind doesn't blow - which it does, often!

Overall OK

Location possibly pinned incorrectly

Showed up to pinned spot around 3pm and saw zero people. It was basically just a road to what I think was a state park? There were multiple spots off to the side where ppl had previously parked/camped w/ fire pits. But I did not feel comfortable pulling off…No service, it was rainy, and not sure how my vehicle would hold up. If planning to visit I would look to see if you need forest permit.

Out of the way but nice spot

Seems to be popular among fisherman. I seemed to be the only person not there to fish. Electric, water and toilets on site - no showers. T-mobile service good. No trails nearby.

Awesome atmosphere

Love this state park, driving into the canyon is very cool. Campground located at the bottom - zero service w/ t-mobile. Bugs were BAD in July. Electric on site and water.

Worth the price, kind of remote

Small campground near CO border. Perks would be lake at top of mountain, 5-7 min drive from CG and showers, at entrance to park. Downfall is you need to drive to everything unless you want to walk along trails on the other side of road. Trails in park were nice - t-mobile service did not work at all, zero bars. Bear boxes provided, deer walked through campground often. I did see bear tracks while hiking but host said they’ve never been a human issue.

Quite spot but not out of the way

Arrived mid day on a Saturday and no issue finding a spot. The bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve experienced at a site like this, I was impressed. Water is scattered through out, no electricity. T-mobile was scattered not really reliable but available. Never met host but they were present. There is a .2-3 mile walk to small water front, very picturesque. Note it was hot during the day and very cold at night in late August. Also a trail to state park from here. Overall enjoyed my stay.

FCFS but expensive

Only two camping spots and they’re $32 a night. They're also right beside each other and by the dock. When I pulled in there was one spot open, it didn't have any shade so I headed down the road to another site. The other spot was occupied by Van camper. Unsure on water/electric.

Plenty of spots w/ great view of Mt Hood

Huge parking lot w/ two bathrooms. Less than 10 vans when I showed up on a Friday night. Stream nearby but very muddy. T-mobile ok - About 2-3 5G bars.

Remote!!

Stayed for 3 nights w/ my dogs. Campground was about 40% occupid the entire time. Bathrooms were clean. Limited cell service. I have t-mobile and could pick up a few bars at the entrance but not at campsite. Grab groceries before bc you’re in the middle of no where. About 2-3 miles of gravel to get to sites but well maintained.

Not FCFS

Showed up Thursday and campground was empty except for host. After talking to host I learned it’s no longer FCFS (rsvp via rover pass). He said all sites were booked for weekend so i was only able to stay one night. Host was very nice and I had good service (t-mobile) to be able to use my hotspot for work.

Nice when empty

I showed up Saturday evening and found a spot no prob. It was crowded (and very loud) but most parties acknowledged the 10PM quite hrs. By Sunday evening 90% of the crowd had left and it was heavenly! The toilets were well maintained, honestly very clean for the location etc. i was impressed. No water/electricity. T-mobile was hit or miss - couldn’t connect hot spot.

Simple But Close to Perfect

I arrived on a Monday and had no issue finding a spot in the first come/no rsvp side. Views from campground are great and enjoyed walking the few trails w/ my dogs. T-mobile service spotty - could not use hotspot. Had to drive about 15 mins down road to park to access 5G.
