Waterfront Gem

This campground is huge with many sites to choose from. We traveled with two other families and chose to stay on the Lake View (Mackinaw Bridge not visible). For our families these were the best sites because they are on the water with beach sand. If you choose to stay on the side with the bridge view the shore line is rocky. We stayed in sites 176-178 and all three were spacious. Unfortunately, not full hook up but good for water and electric. Another perk of staying in these sites is you are a short walk away from the bath houses (private and clean), the playground, pool, and camp store. The camp store is one of the nicest I have been in. It is stocked with all of your camping wants & needs. If you choose to visit Mackinaw Island there is a shuttle van (free) that comes to the campground and will transport you and your bikes to the ferry. We had a wonderful stay at this campground and would definitely recommend the sites we stayed in and any on the beach front.

Ohio Gem

We spent two nights here on our trip to Michigan. We were quite pleased with the campsites and how large they are. You don't feel like you are close to anyone because most sites are surrounded by trees and shrubs. If you are looking to stay more than two nights keep in mind that there are only electric hook ups, so you have to fill your fresh water tank before you set up. Water fill stations are conveniently located throughout the campsite. Don't forget your bikes for this campsite! There are miles of paved bike paths throughout the campsite and a short ride to the lake.

Not all what we expected

We visited Racoon Mountain camp ground for the Memorial weekend. With limited campsites open due to COVID-19 we were lucky to get a spot. The staff was great as they greeted us at the entrance and even guided us to our campsite. We had a pull through site with minimal shade and a little closer than what we are normally use to. There are several tent sites along the creek, but no camper sites on the creek😞. For those who don't camp, there are also cabins available to rent! The campsite is conveniently within walking distance of the caves. We went on a guided tour and had a great time! Our guide was very knowledgeable and made it very enjoyable for my family. We will not come back to this site because we like to be more in the mountains, but this campsite would be great for those who like to be near attractions (cave and downtown Chattanooga).

Mountain Retreat

By far one of the most beautiful campsites we have visited. The surrounding mountains and water were breathtaking. This camp ground is close to the water if you stay in loop A. Just a short walk the water and beach. Several hiking trails throughout the site and around the lake. This is a perfect site for those who like to kayak and explore!

Hikers Retreat

This camp site is great for hikers! We visited this site while participating in the Dirty Bird Dirt Circuit! We camped while running the race through the trails of the park. The campsite is small but close to all the trails.

Beautiful Falls!!!k

We visit Fall Creek Falls at least two times per year. Every time we visit we experience something new and exciting! This trip we took advantage of the canoes & kayaks you can rent (at a low price) and paddled around the lake. We also took advantage of the pool that was on site. The pool is very clean with plenty of chairs to lounge in. We prefer to stay in loop B. This campsite is very wooded and has sites that are spaced out that don't make you feel like you are on top of eachother. The falls are always breathtaking and trails are short for those who don't like long hikes or are novice to hiking. This campground is a must for those who like to experience the great outdoors!

The Lake takes the Cake!

Another close and convenient campsite to Knoxville, TN! Several campsites here are conveniently located along Norris Lake. If not on the lake a short 5 minute walk from other sites. This campsite is a great place for those who like to kayak or paddle board in the clean water of Norris Lake. This campground offers large sites with plenty of space and you don't feel like your neighbors are invading your privacy. The bath houses are clean, but the overall campsite could be a little bit better maintained. Some areas had overgrown grass and litter. If it wasn't for the lake I don't think this campsite would have been as good of a visit.

Convenient to Knoxville

We made a last minute trip to Melton Hill that was very conveniently located just outside of Knoxville. The campsite offers several options for camping along the water or in the woods. We stayed in the woods and the sites have little to no grass. mostly gravel, but that didn't stop us from having a great trip. Our kids enjoyed the nice beach and swim area that was located just a walk away from our site. I would highly recommend this site for those who live in Knoxville and want a short drive to a campsite. Also onsite is a campstore where you can purchase drinks, snacks fishing supplies, blow ups and other necessities. Close to the swimming area there is a covered pavillion with grills that would be perfect for a birthday party or reunion. We will definitely be back to this campground!

Beautiful Nights

Popular for it's clear skys for star gazing. This campsite offers cabins and tent/RV camping. This is a perfect site for those who like to take short , but scenic hikes.

Happy Camper

This was our first trip in our new camper. I chose this park because it was close to Knoxville (1hr). We chose this specific site because it was nicely located by the pond. The only downside on the sites along the water is there are not many trees to provide coverage. There are several trees planted so I would say in a few years there will be more shade. All other sites provide shade and tree coverage. Paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards are available for rental at a very low price. Sites are large and nicely maintained which was nice for my first time towing the trailer. By far the bath house was the nicest and cleanest I have ever seen.

Family Fun!

We have been camping at Fall Creek Falls for 3 years! Not once have we had a bad experience. There is so much to do including hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, beautiful falls and much more! There is something here for every outdoors person. Our favorite camp site is section B. A lot of tree coverage and plenty of space between sites. We just upgraded to a camper and look forward to our first trip with it to Fall Creek Falls!

Breathtaking

This hike is a definite must do! Upon our arrival we were greated by the crew and directed to our cabin. The views are breathtaking and words don't say enough to describe the beautiful views of the smokey mountains! We will definitely be back!
