Beautiful view over the lake.

Be prepared for mosquitoes! I expected ticks in the prairie, but didnt find any on me. Composting toilet isn't well maintained. Saw a few bears roaming the tree line, but they stayed far away.

Simple

As of May 2019, the camp was closed to the public due to safety hazards. Otherwise, it's an ok site. Bear boxes, composting toilet, trash bins, picnic table, and a fire ring. There's a trail that leads down to the creek.

Mainly RVs

Showers, bathrooms, and running water are available. A tent site is $21/night with 1 car allowed. Additional cars are $7/night. There aren't any tent sites secluded from yurts and RVs, so you will be hearing generators run, though people did shut them off at 10. IMO, it's expensive for a tent site in a spot where you're surrounded by glampers.

Popular

It was a very long, bumpy drive up the mountain, to find that there was only 1 site left at dawn and it costs money. The campsite was small and the night was very cold in mid may. Our Honda fit made it up the mountain though!

Trailhead at site

It's $18/ night. The host was vary kind. I camped on a high spot, located right by a trailhead that leads up the mountain. Saw mountain lion prints, chipmunks, Stellar's Jays, and other cool wildlife!

Noisy

I went last summer and the campsites were nice with a covered area, tent site, table, and firepit. However, there was no controlling the noise of nearby campers. Quiet time wasn't enforced and there wasn't a number to call to get someone out there, so there was a group partying loudly until midnight. Made it incredibly difficult to sleep.
