It’s like being alone on mars. This place is beautiful. The road is in great shape. The scenery is truly out of this world. Plenty of places to camp off Valley of the Gods Rd. There were more people camping about halfway through the road. But, by more, I mean like two within a mile of one another. The towns of Mexican hat and Bluff are nearby to resupply or pick up so thing you forgot. If you’re looking to get away from everything, this is your spot.

The initial area is littered with trash from lazy campers who don’t understand how to pack out. Once you pass the second and third cattle guards the camping is great. The road is in good shape and I have no issue towing my 25 ft travel trailer in.
