Large park with tent spaces, rv hookups, and yurts! Oak grassland doesnt provide very many bushes to hide behind, so absolute privacy is hard to achieve when the park is busy. Sprawling and varried disc golf course with some spectacular long shots, and tight trees. Play structure for the little ones, boat ramp, waterfront sites on the renown North Umpqua river (great fishing and swimming), shower facilities (lots of bathrooms, some flushing, some pit toilets).
Great place to just get outdoors, without being too far from stores and humanity.
Large campground. First come first serve and very popular, so get there early if you want a spot. In the beautiful temperate rainforest, nice and shaded and mossy and green. Near Rialto Beach, which is a must see.
Stayed here in the busy season, when we couldn't find space at any of the bigger more popular campgrounds, and there was no fee! It was nice and clean, quiet, and right next to a pretty stream. Beware though, i think the derections might be slightly wrong… the campground is on the east bank of the creek.
Stayed here in the off season, and it was beautiful amd quiet. Also there are flush toilets and fire pits. No running water though, so bring your own. Nice fishing right from the campsites. And the short hike to Hemlock Falls is beautiful and worth it.
Accessible by car, nice waterfall, pretty biews of river running water, and SO MANY DOGWOODS
