Noisy 101 Traffic

Well I had a lot higher hopes for this campground and was bummed that the noise of the 101 took over from the enjoyment of the park. We chose site 91 as we didn’t need water or electricity and it was tucked back into some trees. We absolutely loved that setting as there were no neighbors. No laundry, but here was a shop, firewood for purchase, propane, showers and playground for the kids. Like like there were some nice cabins and pull through spots but the noise was a huge downfall for us.

Can’t wait to come back

This was a real treat on our Coastal trip of Oregon. Nestled back along Cape Blanco near the lighthouse we were tucked away in the trees and a hike away to the ocean. Take a short drive down the road and you’re at the light house with some beautiful spots to hike and see the rock formations in the ocean.

Secret Beach Access

This was a gem that I wish we had an extra night to stay at. Spot 62 had a secret access to the beach that looks to be one of two away from the general access. Water and electricity hookups with grey water dumps throughout park. Restrooms and showers were available and the camp host has firewood for sale between 5-7pm. Peaceful morning walk on the beach.

Beachside Oasis

Had a nice one night stop at this RV Park that had about 12 sites that were lined up along the coast. Had a couple other levels with direct views of the ocean, but you were packed in side by side with other RV’s. There are other sites that are a little more divided in some wooded areas. Full hookup with showers, Laundry etc.

Elk Bugles and Chuckles

Tucked away in the trees of Cannon Beach is this nice little RV Resort. All amenities were top notch for your needs at a park. The Elk greeted us and were eating all the flowers as we entered. Gas station, propane, laundry, showers, convenience store, pool and two shower/restroom facilities. Paved parking spots with fire pit, picnic tables and full hookup.

Puget Sound visit

Good place for families that looks to be kept really clean. The spaces are packed in fairly tight with no dividing barriers of trees. Campsite 10 looks to be the best as it has a little canopy tree and is in the corner without obstruction for a view of the Puget Sound. Water and electric hookup, picnic table, fire pit at each site with additional bathroom with a shower for the grounds. There is a ship playground for the kids and beach volleyball court. It is nestled back through an area of homes that back up to sites 1-8.

Happy Tail on the River

Nice little spot along the river off Icicle Road…approximately 2 miles west of eight mile campground. Though the water level was low due to the time of the season, this spot still offered the tranquil sound of river flowing over boulders. Doors open on a brisk morning with clear skies made it that much more beautiful.

Tranquil Peace

It was a 10pm arrival but thankfully we found a spot that did not disappoint. I wish we had a full weekend to stay but the overnight and breakfast on the river was a great start to our PNW visit.
