Beautiful, but go in the fall

The park is beautiful: trees, swamp, lakes, and bayous. Some sites (28-33 at least) have small piers on the canal for fishing or taking out the kayak. There are multiple boat launches, one in and several near the campgrounds. You can also rent canoes.

Quiet with a Feeling of a Little Privacy

The spot was surrounded by small trees essentially hiding the view of the neighbors. Pretty area with a good hiking trail. Wild pigs hang around, so don’t get close!

Small Sites but Good Fishing

The park has a few primitive spots, but everything is small and close. Hiking trail is maybe a half mile, but that’s about it. There is a beautiful boardwalk on the Tchefuncte River, though, with great fishing.
