Reservations needed during peak times. Great place to visit with large pool, canoe and paddle boat rentals, (No Privately owned boats on lake). Several hiking trails in the park.
Restaurant also on grounds with good variety of foods on a bar. Tour busses stop here for the restaurant, too, but service is usually pretty fast.
Campground has 5 loops and many nice sites although some are not level but they have worked on many of them. Full hookups are in Loop ! or A and this loop is open year around. Sites give you a lot of room.
This is a great family campground and Tennessee State Park located on Chickamauga Lake of the Tennessee River. Good playground for the Grandkids and bicycle paths. We also enjoy the Dockside Restaurant at the Marina, especially on Friday night when they have all you can eat Catfish with fries and slaw. Other good things on the menu, too.
The entrance has some previously injured raptors in cages including vulture, red tailed hawk, and owl. If you are there at the right time you can see the ranger feed them.
