This is a basic KOA with full hook ups. It’s an older facility located in town. There’s a grocery store within walking distance. It’s not my idea of a great camping spot but meets the need when passing thru or visiting someone in the area. Nice staff.

The Peace River runs north to south. Excellent backcountry camping between Zolpho Springs and Gardner. More camping down to Arcadia. Canoeing and kayaking are preferred mode of transportation but I’ve seen others use Jon boats and airboats. Camping permitted on West Bank. No designated sites.

Backpacker campground with bathrooms and showers. Close to the South Mountain Inn, a hiker friendly restaurant. Big field.

Backpacking campground just off the AT. Moderate difficulty 2+ mile hike from Route 40. Spring and compost outhouse. Great views. Been camping there for decades.

Camped night before Peace River canoe trip. Plenty of ATVs zipping around. Not my thing.

Full facilities. Extensive trails. River access. Beautiful forest. What’s not to love.

Excellent Broward County park with full RV facilities. Bathrooms closed during COVID. Plenty of recreational options. Great spot for first family camp out.

Car camping facility with vault toilets and airboat ramp. Picnic tables, fire rings, lantern post, bear lockers and garbage cans. Sounds of nature at night.

Flat backpacking trail about 7 miles from Flamingo Campground. Elevation changes marked in inches takes you from wet to dry. Very buggy. Winter months best.
