The sites here are the basic pull in spots with a bench and firepit. Water and electricity at each site. The park is located right where the St. John's meets lake Monroe and has a boat ramp.

This is a unique park to camp in. You can come on your own boat or take the free ferry over (donations are encouraged). The campsites are about a half mile from the docks and they even have a van to take your stuff to your site if you can't take it your self. The sites are nice and shaded and they have cabins too

This park is really nice. Some sites are directly on the lake and really beautiful. The facilities are nice and the campsites really well kept.

This site is in a really pretty oak canopy, situated next to an open field. This is the only site in Seminole State Forest with a latrine.

This is a really nice spot situated between the spring and Blackwater Creek. The site is 100 yards down a path from where you park. It's a great spot if you want to paddle the creek.

You can drive to the site with a permit. There is good shade from some big oak trees. The site is nice and secluded, and there are lots of hiking trails in the forest.

At the tent sites you are not allowed to have campfires which is kind of a bummer. The sites are on a slight slope that goes down to the lake. The sites are nice with a good view of the lake

There's lots to do at the park, but the campsites just aren't really that nice. There's the lake, a playground, a few volleyball courts, and lots of space to play at the park

The pine point pack in primitive site is in a really nice wooded area. It's less than half a mile from the parking area, and a stream flows close by where you can filter water. The park is very pretty and unique in Central Florida in that it has lots of rolling hills.

I think this would be a nice place to camp if you were planning to spend a couple days boating on the St. John's, otherwise I would go somewhere else. It's got a boat ramp and the sites are not far from the ramp. You do have to walk to the sites but it's no more than 100 yards from the parking lot. There isn't a whole lot of tree coverage in the campground, some sites are well shaded however. There is a nice group campsite with a big fire pit for a bonfire.

This is a nice place to introduce kids to camping. It's not very far removed and there is a nice bathroom and a playground. There is a walking path and nice views of lake mills.

There is not any shade at Hatbill, it's just a wide open field next to the St. Johns. The locals come here for bonfires and to run airboats all night. I guess the only reason to stay here would be for night fishing.

Moss park is a nice city park with a lake and lots of hiking trails and some playgrounds. It's a great place to take the family. The sites are very well shaded and they have potable water and electricity. There are bathrooms and showers.

Blue Spring has nice sites with electricity and water at each site and bathrooms with showers. It's not the place to go if you are looking for a more primitive style of camping, but most sites are fairly private with lots of trees/brush between you and the next site. The sites are well shaded as well. You can see manatees here and there is good swimming, freediving, and scuba diving.

This is a primitive site located on the rock springs run. The site can only be reached by water. Indian Mound is one of my favorite sites I've ever stayed at, the river is crystal clear and the site is very large. You have plenty of shade and the site is very quiet and peaceful. There is a fire pit with some benches, and that's it. A great place to get away and relax.

This is a really popular spot and for good reason. You camp right next to the beach, just on the other side of the dune. Nice bathrooms and each site has electric hookups. Some sites have a better view of the ocean than others, but they are all right on the beach. The only problems with this place are that reservations fill up really fast and the campground is filled with mostly rv's so you will hear noise from generators. The sound of the ocean drowns out most of it though!

Hal Scott Preserve has three campsites. Two of the sites require a hike in and are first come first serve. One is about two miles from the parking lot and the other is about 1/2 mile further. The third is a group campsite that must be reserved in advance, and you can drive to the site. All of the sites are free. The park has lots of trails to hike, and the sites are in nice shaded oak hammocks. The group site has a porta potty. The sites all have fire rings and two sites have pitcher pumps for water you can filter.
