Secluded and free!

Came in at dusk and were the only campers there. We bought a bag of fire wood from the house going into the park and had a wonderful fire and sipped some wine.

Star gazing at its finest

Newly plowed road, still dirt, but you don’t need a 4x4. We drove our mini van. Got here in the middle of the night and had no idea what to expect. Took the first spot we found. Not a soul in sight. I found it easier to work without flashlights as the moths swarmed you if you used them. Harmless but annoying. Once your eyes adjust, there are so many stars you can see a fair amount. Especially when the moon appeared!

Most incredible free site we have ever had.

Set up camp around midnight and almost no one else was here. Best to take showers on the morning after the cleaner has come and gone but still, free shower!!! I cannot stress enough how amazing this campsite is.

Huge site, only 3 others there

We pulled in to see many of the large sites available and picked the one with a tree for shade looking over the river. We pitched our tents and then drove to the Little Grand Cayon for a quick hike before dusk.

Down by the water

We found the second site going into the park on our way out. You can almost miss it going in. The driveway down to your site makes it very private. You are down by the small pond/lake which is alive with the music of nighttime bugs and frogs. We just pulled in to set up our tents to sleep so was exactly what we needed.
