Perfect weekend getaway

Cabin - treehouse was very nice. Everything you need is there. Just bring food and clothes (jacket, toboggan etc… for cold nights). Warm gas fire place in cabin and outhouse / bathhouse. Shower was nice and hot as well. Outside movie screen with hammock chairs. Quiet and peaceful. Will definitely go back. Owners did a great job!!!

Excellent campground

Stayed here 5 nights during our stay in the Tetons. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Lodge is just next door that has a great gift shop. Restaurant has excellent food with beautiful views of the Tetons on the back deck. Clean restrooms and bathhouses (pay showers) with laundry next door. Campsites we’re well kept. Just remember to store food in bear boxes. Campsites we’re also spaced out well with trees surrounding each site. It’s just a short walk to the waters edge of lake. Convenience store has many food, tobacco, camp items as well as gasoline and coffee bar. Wildlife will roam through campground in early and at night. Elk, fox, and coyote came through ours. We’ll worth the stay and will be staying here again.!!

Close to Yellowstone

Stayed here for 4 nights before heading down to the Tetons. Very nice campground and campsites were clean and well maintained. Bathhouses we’re clean as well. Kids can ride their bikes throughout the campground on nice pavement. There’s also several miles of mountain bike trails just behind the campground that mine son and I enjoyed. Nice zip line course next door. The staff was super friendly and they carry many necessities should you need them. Campground is just a couple blocks from West entrance to Yellowstone. Take some time to check out all of downtown West Yellowstone. Great little town with good food and nice shops. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip.

Great campground

Stayed here during our visit for the Badlands. Friendly staff that was very helpful. Clean restrooms and store has basic necessities should you need them. Pretty good view of the Bandlands from the campground. I believe they sell breakfast and lunch there at the store. There’s a small grocery store just down the road that carries a variety of food choices. Will be staying here next trip.!!!

One night stay

We stayed her for one night on our way to the Badlands. Arrived late and left so early we didn’t even see any of the staff. Campground and bath houses were clean. However, campsites are very close together. Great for quick overnight stop.!!!

Great Island camping

Fun place to be.!!! Campsites are just a short walk to the beach. The staff is very friendly and will be happy to help with any questions you might have. Bath house is cleaned every morning and showers were pretty warm. The campground has different sections depending on what size Rv you have. Full hookups on many sites. Water/electric on others. Pet friendly as long as you pick up behind them. The Ferry is on one side of campground….Sea lab and Fort Gaines on the other. The of the best features about the island is you can ride your bicycle from one end of the island to the other. Get up early to get some great pics of the sunrise.!!!

Top of Alabama

Cheaha is great for year round camping. Some of the states best hiking trails. Best time to hike is Winter (IMO) when the leaves are mostly gone and you have great views all around. Also trails for mtn. biking. Campgrounds are in great shape with clean bath houses. I’ve camped at both lower and upper campgrounds, and love them both. Lower campground is close to lake which is popular swimming spot it summer. Upper is more well suited if you wanna hike. Very friendly staff and great views from the lodge. Lodge also has wonderful meals.!!! Been coming up to cheaha since I was a kid and love it. Give it a try. Swim during summer, hike anytime, or just come up and camp, cook, and hang out in the hammock.!!!

Camping at its best.!!!

Cherokee Rock is a local favorite or mine. Beautiful views of Weiss Lake. Rock climbers paradise!!!. Camping is $15 and are first come first serve . Plenty of trails throughout the rock formations to hike and explore. RVs are welcome but NO hookups. There is dump station and hot showers and restrooms. Camp store has the essentials and also carry climbing gear.!! Dark and pretty quite at night. A must campground for Boondocking!!!

Beautiful state park

Plenty to do here at Desoto. Many hiking, biking trails. Zip line course. Swimming pool in summer. Campsites are well maintained and flat. Clean restrooms and showers. Nice camp store with plenty supplies. The Lodge is also great. The Restaurant serves amazing breakfast buffet (check hours of operation). Plenty of deer wondering throughout the campground. And Desoto Falls is just a few minutes drive from campground. There’s also plenty of cabins to stay in as well.!!! This place stays book up in fall …..so reserve early.

Beautiful mountain top camping

Monte Sano is one of our favorite places to get away for the weekend. The staff is super friendly!!! Nice campsites, clean bathhouses, and campground usually stays pretty quiet at night. Beautiful night views of city lights from several camp spots. Park also has a nice Japanese garden, planetarium, hike / bike trails, and scenic overlooks. Just minutes from downtown Huntsville!!!

Great camping

Wonderful place to camp!!! Most sites include view of lake Guntersville. Several things to do here… Mountain bike, hike, fish, beach with volleyball, golf. Deer usually visit the campground several times a day. Take time to drive up the mountain to the Lodge and take in the great views. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers.
